SWEET BEGINNINGS: Whitney and Kyle knew of each other for a few years before they started dating. Randomly seeing each other at parties, they never seemed to make that connection. It wasn’t until close friends dragged Kyle to dinner at Cafe Ole in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Whitney was there with friends, that they both hit it off and talked all night. The rest is history.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Kyle proposed on Christmas morning with the ring in the bottom of Whitney’s stocking. Whitney thought Kyle was just messing with her since they decided not to give gifts last year for Christmas. He encouraged her to look in the stocking, and when she turned around with the ring in her hand, Kyle was down on one knee asking for her hand in marriage.
ELEGANT GARDEN PARTY: The wedding had a garden party theme using lots of greenery, flowers and blue patterned plates to create a garden feel and incorporating hues of navy, green and ivory.
WORDS OF WISDOM: One suggestion Whitney and Kyle have for couples planning their wedding is to try to make sure everything is finished before the week of the wedding, including DIY projects. You want the week of your wedding to be about enjoying family and friends, not about hot glue guns and folding programs. They also suggest incorporating as many little details that are specific to you both as a couple or traditions passed down from family members into your day. Those little details are what meant the most to them after the wedding, and it makes your day unique and special.
LIFE AFTER WEDDING: The Works now reside in Missouri where Whitney is a pharmacist and Kyle is a doctor.
