Picturesque Dallas Arboretum Engagement Shoot by Gray Door Photography

Friday, January 12th, 2018

We are loving Jessica and Kevin’s picturesque Dallas Arboretum engagement shoot captured by the ever-so-talented Gray Door Photography! The Dallas Arboretum makes for the perfect location with all the bright greenery and spectacular light – you can really see the connection these two share amidst the gardens. Following their greenery-filled locale, the couple ventured to White Rock Lake to snap some portraits against the water. Scroll through to see the beautiful photos and read about how Kevin proposed!

Photos // Gray Door Photography

Jessica and Kevin’s love story began in 2010, where they met at church the summer before Jessica would be a freshman at Baylor University. As luck would have it, Kevin would be a junior at Baylor that year, and they soon began dating! Seven years later, Kevin created an elaborate plan to surprise Jessica back at their old stomping grounds, the overlook tower at Baylor, where he had asked her to be his girlfriend. He got her friends in on the surprise, and she never saw it coming. When she got to the top of the tower, Kevin was waiting for her with a sign that said, “Let’s Get Married!” Through tears of joy, she said yes!

Jessica and Kevin will be married in February at Verona Villa. They’re planning a romantic and elegant wedding with navy, gray, ivory, greenery and gold accents. We can’t wait to see it! Cheers to the happy couple!

Endearing Bishop Arts District Engagement Shoot by Meggie Taylor Photography

Friday, January 5th, 2018

Could Shelby and Will’s sweet Bishop Arts District engagement shoot be any cuter?! Shot by Meggie Taylor Photography, you can clearly see the love between these two in this endearing engagement shoot! Once we saw the intimate moments with the beautiful Dallas skyline in the background during their second look we knew we had to share. Read on for their story!

Photos // Meggie Taylor Photography

Shelby and Will met at Texas A&M University in 2011, where they were introduced at a party and spent the rest of their time dancing the night away! They lost touch for a while but kept running into each other, so they made things official on Valentines Day 2013!  Exactly three years later is when Will proposed to Shelby, the night of Valentines Day 2016! They went to their favorite Italian restaurant for dinner, and when Will handed Shelby a note, she immediately noticed the words “Will you marry me?” at the bottom. Shelby looked up to see Will on one knee, and the entire restaurant cheered as she said yes! The celebration continued as Will had arranged for both their family and friends to surprise Shelby and complete their evening.

Shelby and Will are tying the knot on February 24th, at Ellis Chapel in Park Cities Baptist Church, with a reception at the Adolphus Hotel to follow. Their wedding will be traditional and sophisticated, with colors of black and white, plus a little gold for some glam. Cheers to the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs.!

Adorable Howell Family Farms Engagement Shoot by AR Photography

Friday, November 24th, 2017

With the classic red and white barn and open field as their backdrop, we are getting all the rustic Texas vibes from Maddy and Nick’s adorable Howell Family Farms engagement shoot captured by AR Photography! We love that Maddy and Nick included their fur baby into the shoot, and just can’t get enough of this stylish and sweet couple. Read on for their story!

Photos // AR Photography

While attending the University of Arkansas, Maddy and Nick met at a mutual friend’s apartment who happened to live next door to Maddy. Six years later, Nick had a huge surprise in store for her! When Maddy decided to tag along with Nick on a work trip to Oahu, Hawaii, Nick began planning the big surprise immediately. On the second day of the trip, the couple had an early morning hike and planned to watch the sunset over the city of Kailua. During their hike along the beautiful mountainside, Nick suggested they take a hidden path down a trail. Maddy suggested otherwise, but complied, unaware of the big moment to come. A few minutes down the trail, Nick asked Maddy to turn off her GoPro, he told her how much he loved her, reached into his backpack to pull out the ring, and got down on one knee! Maddy says she recalls being so overjoyed and surprised that she doesn’t remember saying yes, only “Really?!?!” before jumping into his arms!

The wedding is set for April 2018 at Howell Family Farms – a very special place to Maddy as she visited the family friend’s barn many times during her childhood. With tones of taupe, beige, and ivory, and a special touch of sparkle, Maddy and Nick’s special day is sure to be a rustic wedding dream! Cheers to Nick and Maddy, and happy planning!
