This Earthy Boho Wedding’s DIY Elements Made ALL the Difference
by Brynlee Handy April 28
We are crushing hard over Giselle and Nyemike’s earthy boho wedding that features some DIY elements that truly made all the difference! This lush, organic event with its jewel-toned accents of garnet and gold is all the transitional wedding inspo we need and more. The couple’s choice of understated and minimal decor allows for florals to be the center of attention. This bride stuns in her long-sleeved mermaid Rue de Seine gown from a&bé bridal shop that is lacey, floral and boho-all-over and a celestial-style gold crown! Our favorite part of this bohemian event is the geometric altar trimmed some pampas grass (gathered by the bride and groom) that the pair made their vows in front of. From cutesy cookies featuring the newlyweds’ initials to gauzy dried grass and floral arrangements around every corner, we can’t imagine how this darling couple’s earthy, boho day could get any more home-y feeling. Read on to hear from the bride about her wedding’s DIY elements. Cheers to Giselle and Nyemike!

From the bride: “Our wedding day was magical. Nyemike and I took pride in the small personal touches around the venue such as the details of the sweets bar, the monogrammed cocktail napkins and the names of the signature drinks – a jalapeño margarita called ‘Spicy Latina’ and bourbon on the rocks called ‘Mr. Reserved’. Even the pampas grass that decorated the venue was cut and gathered by us. We built a teepee photo prop and a stage arch to give the ceremony location more grandeur.”
