Marissa and James met at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office where she was an intern and he was a felony prosecutor. When Marissa walked into the District Attorney workroom for the first time, she saw James’ unforgettable smile and knew he was the one.
On the way to a dinner date, the couple stopped at church. Marissa thought they were picking up some books from a friend but then noticed a note outside the sanctuary that said “Welcome Mr. Aulbaugh and Ms. Warms.” As James led Marissa to the rose-decorated alter, their song began to play. James knelt down on one knee and took the ring box out of his sock where he had been hiding it. Marissa happily said, “Yes!” After the proposal, James had one more surprise for Marissa. When they finally arrived at the restaurant for dinner, their family and friends were waiting to celebrate with them.
Marissa and James will wed this spring at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas. With the help of wedding planner Jacqueline Events & Design, the wedding will incorporate a classic theme of light pink, peach and ivory.
