We’re good with making Christmas in July a thing if only for this romantic holiday proposal turned engagement session captured in timeless, true-to-life shots all around the scenic courtyard and gardens of Hotel Crescent Court. Ryan and Taylor came to the locale under different pretenses, and Taylor didn’t suspect a thing! In front of the oversized ornaments and to the cheers of strangers around them, Ryan popped the question and Taylor said yes! Hiding close behind, Kelsey Lanae Photography was there to capture the entire heartfelt moment and their adorable reactions, but the show didn’t stop there! Ryan and Taylor went on to make use of their stunning surroundings and took engagement photos in the dreamy dusk lighting. They look overjoyed to be engaged, and we can’t wait to see the wedding that’s to come! Read on for a note from the photographer that details the full, precious holiday proposal story of how he asked. Cheers to the future newlyweds!

From the photographer: “December 5 was the groom Ryan’s birthday, so Taylor thought they were going to Sixty Vines in The Crescent’s courtyard area for a pre-dinner glass of wine and then walk across to Capital Grill for dinner plans… As soon as they got to the courtyard area, there were giant ornaments in the center where Ryan dropped to one knee and asked Taylor to marry him. There were people around eating outside and they all cheered for them! Instead of going to Sixty Vines (which was just a cover), they did a little newly-engaged photo session afterward and then went to dinner at Capital Grill.”
