Long before even the first issue of our beloved North Texas publication, we’ve always had a soft spot for the creative geniuses who help bring weddings of all types to life through the use of beautifully designed floral arrangements. We love the getting the opportunity to feature these individuals, so we’re happy to finally share on the blog a brand new editorial featuring a craft that’s impossible not to love! Our Spring/Summer 2018 issue spotlights the work of some of these floral artists in In Bloom: Stunning Centerpieces from DFW’s Best Florists. Kristen Dee Photography captured the best of what’s trending in the world of table-top arrangement goodness from 11 of the area’s most sought after floral vendors at Brake and Clutch Warehouse, who so generously lent their space to allow our floral favorites to put their craft in action. From feminine and sweet to natural and earthy, we can picture each of these arrangements stealing the tabletop spotlight! A touch of whimsy and a splash of old-fashioned nostalgia, this editorial piece from our Spring/Summer 2018 issue is brining us endless modern romance wedding inspiration from Olive & Nine and we can’t get enough! Laylee Emadi Photography went behind the scenes to capture the setting at the appropriate giant green grass filled backyard setting of the Mopac Events Center in Fort Worth. Invitations and a paper suite from Brown Fox Creative set the tone for this little affair in shades of sage green and blush, hinting at the sweetness of the setup to come! The model bride wore a gorgeous lace and tulle overlay gown from Bridal Boutique, complemented by her simple beauty look featuring a neatly pulled-back up-do and soft, natural makeup both styled by Brittany Jones Hair and Makeup. Her gorgeous oval shaped ring with diamond band were provided by The True Gem. As one of the focal points of the shoot, an adults-only root beer float bar featured tasty sips by HD Liquid Catering, where guests could create custom beverages to enjoy in the adjacent lounge area. A plush, kelly green couch atop a vibrant pink Persian-like rug from Coral Lane welcomed all to join, including the bride and her bridesmaid both carrying bouquets made from blooms in playful shades of coral, marigold and mauve from Kate McLeod Studio. But the most unique detail of all? A beautiful white iced layered cake embellished with lace and fresh greenery from The Jenny Layne Bakery, displayed upside down! We can’t get enough of this darling shoot!

From the planner, Jordan Jennings of Olive & Nine: “The inspiration behind this shoot was a romantic bride who loves pops of color and modern elements. We wanted to bring to life her childhood favorites by resurrecting the root beer float and adding a twist to make an adult beverage. We imaged this bride loved dream catchers growing up, and we trusted The Jenny Layne Bakery to bring an upside-down hanging dream catcher cake to life.”

There’s nothing more picturesque on a crisp winter day than a white barn, which is why we’re head over heels for this styled shoot filled with elegant winter wedding inspiration captured by Rachel Elaine Photography! The grey, overcast light was the perfect complement to the quaint little white open-air barn and its chic rustic interior of white wood paneled walls and white washed wood floors. The model bride’s glamorous look was perfect for the occasion, in a form-fitting and low-V back gown with prim and proper cap sleeves from Lovely Bride. Giving her look a bit of vintage flair, Brittany Jones Weddings sculpted loose, long curls with a bit of volume at the crown and soft and sweet makeup including a fresh pink lip.

The perfect addition to her look and decor for the table setting, filled with leafy greenery in a soft sage blue, white blooms tall and small were woven in between tan colored leaves to create the most ideal earthy, winter arrangements. Top Tier Event Rentals provided the grand wood table to serve as the focal point of the staged reception-like event. Sandy wood cross-back chairs were delicately draped with greenery to match the blooming centerpieces. The table was set with a simple design of white, silver and glassware for an easy classic look. We can’t get enough of this beautiful shoot!

For a more fashion-forward take on a classic outdoor bloom-filled wedding, we’re loving this editorial from our Spring/Summer 2018 issue packed with modern garden wedding inspiration from Katie Frost Weddings! With the white washed wood backdrop of Chapel Creek Ranch as the setting for this chic shoot, Nate and Grace Photography captured the gorgeous model couple amidst fresh blooms, a unique table setting and in front of a unique starburst altar we’re still swooning over! A paper suite from Cleggraphy Designs introduced the unique color scheme of the staged celebration. Bright magenta, blush and ivory blooms popped against leafy greenery in the model bride’s bouquet and in table arrangements created by Flourish Floral Design Studio. The model bride stunned with her bouquet, wearing a sweet lace and tulle gown from De Ma Fille paired with a fresh, warm beauty look of neutral colors and a loosely pulled back up-do done by Grand Slam Glam. A gorgeous table setting brought all of the fun, modern elements together all perfectly displayed on the long farm table and in the accompanying lounge area, featuring a greenery-embellished wall and dusty rose hued velvet chairs from Coral Lane. Inky black elements brought a bold, modern look to the table setting with black plates and linens from Top Tier Event Rentals and adorable personal sized cakes from C. Marie’s Sweets used in lieu of a place card. Sips by HD Liquid Catering featured fresh produce to add to the garden-like feel and make for a tasty counterpart to the cakes. Enjoy!

From the planner, Katie Frost of Katie Frost Weddings: “The inspiration behind this shoot was to find practical ways to bring in the color black. I wanted to bring a softer tone to the bold color and pairing with one of the hottest colors only made sense! We incorporated a garden inspiration with black and blush spread throughout the entire set up.”
