Old World Spanish Inspired Bridal Shoot

Mixing historic architecture with a modern bohemian spirit, Shannon Skloss Photography marvelously captured the romanticism in the settings of this old world Spanish inspired bridal styled shoot. Set on the grounds of an old abandoned Texas church, the rugged features in the archway carvings, worn brick and textured wall spaces created the perfect layered canvas for the airy, ethereal-like editorial. Elements of desert-like greenery and tarnished stone were used as focal points throughout the shoot in everything from the custom invitation suite to the table display. The team couldn’t have selected a more appropriate gown choice than in the wispy, wide long-sleeve lace scalloped Leanne Marshall gown from Lovely Bride. The model bride wore a side-swept fishtail braided hair style, which was later taken down and worn loosely over her shoulders, to complement the ease of her look. Playing off of the more organic and earthy tones of the backdrop, the team at Everly Alaine crafted up a bouquet and table arrangements in a specially selected color palate to bring a bold yet soft romantic touch to the shoot. Shades of coral, cranberry, peach and ivory were used in varying blooms from roses to greenery to add dimension to the arrangements and also create an eye-catching decor feature for the lone table setting. Beautiful Event Rentals provided a vintage-esque white-washed wood table, which was topped with antique silver serveware sets and a delicate candle display to add a subtle softness to the otherwise worn and torn background. We’re adding this shoot to our roster of unforgettable romantic charm inspiration! Cheers!

For a trend-conscious take on classic bridal portraits, this earthy, industrial styled bridal shoot is the perfect hybrid of timeless looks and modern design ideals! Set with the lofty warehouse backdrop of brick-walled Monroe Pearson (which opens in Spring of 2018!), the model bride and bridesmaid each wore a unique head-to-toe look with a gown from Bridal Boutique and beauty by Jennifer Trotter – Lip Service Makeup to show a few different types of altar styles. Wedding gowns in the shoot represented both a more classic, traditional style with a high-neck, illusion back A-line gown and a glamorous, plunging V-neck embellished tulle look. For bridesmaids’ attire, the girls donned dresses in muted color schemes: one in an elegant halter neck, high slit powder blue look and the other in a more bohemian vibe, off-the-shoulder dress in dusty rose. Bouquets of greenery, white and red blooms paired well with the antique-meets-Aztec inspired seating area with fun patterned throw pillows and blankets accenting the tufted velvet furniture. Brides in search of some serious aisle style, look no further! Cheers!

Elegant Bridal Photos from Laylee Emadi Photography and Grey Door Photography

For both a simplistic and timeless take on images to treasure for a lifetime, we’re completely obsessing over these elegant bridal photos from Laylee Emadi Photography and Gray Door Photography! With the bright light and white-washed wood walls of The White Sparrow Barn as a backdrop, this shoot took the best of the classics and modern trends to create the most dream-worthy images as a bridal keepsake. Showcasing the minimalistic ease of the shoot, Sarah Ann Design crafted a vintage-looking sketched invitation suite on raw-edged paper in a simple black and white. Events by Jade created a clean and fresh aesthetic by keeping a neutral color palette of ivory, taupe, blush and cream, reserving any color for the greenery in the model bride’s bouquet, stairway garland and sprawling outdoor setting, and the delicate hue of a powdery “something blue” in the table decor. Beautiful Event Rentals brought in a wood table and chairs set for the pseudo-dining arrangements, with fun modern touches to add to the table decor like agate rocks as place card holders and coordinating blue ribbon bound silverware sets. To match the whimsical place setting, The Butterfly Cake Factory created a white frosted three-layer cake complete with a  watercolor-like blue embroidery and cream colored roses as the topper. The true “icing on the cake” though is of course the lovely model brides and maids, all dressed in gowns from Lovely Bride! A bride in a stunning lace bodice embroidered illusion plunging V-front gown was perfectly complemented by her maids in airy lilac-hued tulle skirt dresses, while a second model bride wore a dreamy lace scoop neck short-sleeve column gown with dainty beaded embellishments. We can’t get enough of these timeless bridal photos! Cheers!

With the classic red and white barn and open field as their backdrop, we are getting all the rustic Texas vibes from Maddy and Nick’s adorable Howell Family Farms engagement shoot captured by AR Photography! We love that Maddy and Nick included their fur baby into the shoot, and just can’t get enough of this stylish and sweet couple. Read on for their story!

Photos // AR Photography

While attending the University of Arkansas, Maddy and Nick met at a mutual friend’s apartment who happened to live next door to Maddy. Six years later, Nick had a huge surprise in store for her! When Maddy decided to tag along with Nick on a work trip to Oahu, Hawaii, Nick began planning the big surprise immediately. On the second day of the trip, the couple had an early morning hike and planned to watch the sunset over the city of Kailua. During their hike along the beautiful mountainside, Nick suggested they take a hidden path down a trail. Maddy suggested otherwise, but complied, unaware of the big moment to come. A few minutes down the trail, Nick asked Maddy to turn off her GoPro, he told her how much he loved her, reached into his backpack to pull out the ring, and got down on one knee! Maddy says she recalls being so overjoyed and surprised that she doesn’t remember saying yes, only “Really?!?!” before jumping into his arms!

The wedding is set for April 2018 at Howell Family Farms – a very special place to Maddy as she visited the family friend’s barn many times during her childhood. With tones of taupe, beige, and ivory, and a special touch of sparkle, Maddy and Nick’s special day is sure to be a rustic wedding dream! Cheers to Nick and Maddy, and happy planning!
