This month we featured Rachel and Stephen’s lovely outdoor engagement session captured by Stephanie Brazzle Photography. See their oh-so-sweet photos and proposal story below!

Rachel and Stephen first met at a company Christmas party for TEKsystems. The two worked at different offices in the DFW area and had never had the opportunity to meet prior to the party. Rachel first saw Stephen when he walked into the hotel gift shop, and she thought “Wow! He is very attractive!” Once the two were inside the Christmas party, Rachel made her way to Stephen and found a way to talk to him by asking him to take a picture of herself and a friend. The two talked for a little bit then went their separate ways. Toward the end of the evening, Stephen asked Rachel to two-step with him. After dancing, for some unknown reason still, Rachel told Stephen “Your two-stepping skills really are not that good! You need to work on them,” and proceeded to walk away. That was the last time they talked that night, and somehow the insult worked! After the party, Stephen worked hard asking around about her, trying to get her number. The rest is history!

In 2015, Stephen took Rachel on a surprise trip to the Smokey Mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The couple spent an amazing weekend in a three-bedroom cabin called the “Million Dollar View,” relaxing in their hot tub overlooking the breathtaking view of the mountains. Stephen spontaneously made a reservation at Gatlinburg’s trademark steakhouse for dinner on Saturday night, and before the two made their way over, Stephen asked Rachel if she would like to toast with a glass of champagne. After Rachel finished her toast, Stephen began his own by getting down on one knee to ask for eternity together! Of course she said yes!

Rachel and Stephen will be married on April 2, 2016, at the Marty Leonard Chapel with a reception to follow at the T&P Station. Congratulations to future Mr. and Mrs. Behar, and thanks to Stephanie Brazzle Photography for sharing these incredibly sweet images!
