Jen and Davis met at the University of Texas at Austin through mutual friends. The couple jokes that thier first “official date” was when Davis took Jen on their first date at J2, their school cafeteria. It sounds super lame and cheap, Jen reminisces, but it was one of the best first dates she had been on.

Davis planned a trip to Austin where the two first met. Jen says she knew exactly when and where he was going to propose. They spent the trip visiting all of their favorite places where they went in college, including walking around campus. The night Davis proposed, they went to their favorite restaurant, Uchiko. After dinner, Davis took Jen to the Long Center where the Austin skyline was the backdrop. He knelt down on one knee and asked Jen to marry him. Of course, she said yes! Davis’ two cousins recorded and photographed the whole thing and a couple friends even showed up to support them! Davis was a bit disappointed that Jen knew when the proposal was happening, but to Jen’s surprise, he had gotten two of their friends to decorate Jen’s apartment with tea candles, rose petals, balloons, cupcakes, and champagne before they arrived.

Jen and Davis are planning a spring wedding this April at The Laurel. Their wedding color palette will be a mixture of reds, pinks, yellows and oranges with gold accents. They cannot wait to see the design come to life. Thanks to Charla Storey for sharing their adorable engagement shoot with us! Cheers to the future Mr. and Mrs.!
