A Favorite Styled Shoot

“For this styled shoot, inspiration quickly struck upon seeing the rock formations at Garden of the Gods, which is also easily a favorite aspect of any styled shoot we’ve done. It is much easier to collaborate with, rather than try to outshine Mother Nature! The terrain reminded me of Themyscira, the island where Diana, a.k.a. Wonder Woman, is from. It then shifted over to mythology, and that’s how the Grecian Goddess concept was born. Fun Fact – Diana is also known as the goddess of the hunt in Roman mythology, with the ability to speak to wild animals. There was a stag that happened to be resting around the venue, and we were so fortunate to be able to capture that moment on film!” Sarah shares.
This sun-drenched styled shoot has a timeless element standard to Keestone Events. “The word we use when coming up with design boards for couples is ‘timeless,’ Sarah explains. “Will said design stand the test of time and will the couple regret anything when looking back in the future? For that reason, we try to get to know the bride and groom well in order to incorporate meaningful elements that are important to them both. Our aesthetic is then founded in these details that make the wedding truly special for the couple we are celebrating.”
When it comes to incorporating trends, the Keestone team takes a different approach. “We aren’t big fans of trends since it is never constant. Instead, we try to learn about aspects that are truly important to the couple. We then take those elements and incorporate them into the wedding so it’s memorable to them, and helps to tell their story. For instance, we had a couple that the number ‘8’ was significant to them as it symbolized prosperity and fortune. As a subtle nod to this, octagonal menus were created for place settings and their wedding cake had octagonal tiers. It may not be a detail that most will notice, but it’s something that is noteworthy to the couple.”
Real Wedding Love

“This garden wedding at Arlington Hall is one that I will remember fondly for a very long time. While the original plan was to have their ceremony outdoors, Dallas decided to unleash monsoon season all week so we reverted to Plan B. When the bride saw how the space was transformed, she stated that she never for a moment regarded it as the backup plan. This wonderful couple wholeheartedly trusted their vendors to execute accordingly based on their vision and speaks volumes on what having a professional team behind you can do in a potentially stressful situation.”
Speaking of stressful situations, Sarah and her team believe trust is a key quality you should have with your planner, because things will inevitably come up. “It’s immensely important to us that our planner be unfazed should tough situations arise, and have the ability to problem-solve creatively on the fly,” Sarah says. “Couples can rest easy knowing they have someone indomitable on their side, with them every step of the way.”
