Wedding Inspiration

The Color Palette in this Boho Chic Wedding Takes the Cake

We were absolutely blown away by the stunning photos Laning Photography captured of Jennifer and Kerry’s boho chic wedding day! Like something out of a dream, soft bohemian details come together in this light and airy day that was filled with both delicate pastels and bold jewel tones. The two initially planned to be wed on April 4, 2020, but of course, COVID-19 had other plans. The two were still able to have a small ceremony in their home, but their new date, November 1, was when the magic really happened. Due to expert planning, their boho chic wedding was styled perfectly for either season! Bride Jennifer looked absolutely radiant in her free-spirited trumpet gown from Brickhouse Bridal featuring a breathtaking train as well as floral appliqué detailing and a veil made by her mother. Not shown in pictures, though, was the traditional attire that the pair used to incorporate culture into their wedding. “My husband and I are both Vietnamese and I had a custom Ao Dai made for each of us in Vietnam,” Jennifer said. “An Ao Dai is the traditional wedding attire of our culture… We changed into our traditional wedding attire to walk the tables and greet our guests.” Cocktail hour is always a blast when HD Liquid Catering is on the scene and we love the way that trails seamlessly into a fun-filled reception evening! Guests enjoyed fine dining among impeccably styled tablescapes of organic and vintage elements that add so much character and flair, perfected with elegant linens from AM Linen Rental. There was so much love involved in Jennifer and Kerry’s big day that they even brought their furry friends in on the fun (keep an eye out for paws in their gallery below)! Though they had to postpone it once, we think it was totally worth the wait to see this boho chic wedding come together so flawlessly. Cheers to the Nguyens!

From the bride: “I learned that not everything will go as planned and it’s okay. The greatest thing to remember is that you are getting married to celebrate your love and commitment to one another. Be grateful that you have each other and your health. Everything else is just a bonus.”
