THEIR STORY: Annick and a few of her girlfriends had planned a camping trip one weekend. Unfortunately, the camping trip was doomed due to some very stormy weather and they had to cancel. They decided to have a staycation complete with pancakes, hikes, pedicures and a fort in the living room. Sunday morning the girls went to the Bishop Arts District for breakfast. After they ate, Annick’s friend, Allison, made an excuse to shop around in the stores and made her way straight into an art gallery. Despite her skepticism, Annick followed everyone inside, and walked to the back pretending she had real business being inside this nice place in her leggings and rain boots. There in the gallery was a painting of Annick and Alec looking out over the Grand Canyon – what she soon would find out was an engagement present from her future father-in-law. Even at that point, Annick was still none the wiser until Alec walked out. There he asked her to marry him. He then swept Annick away to a beautiful picnic date his family had set up.
HUES SHE USED: Keeping with an earthy and subtle wedding scheme, Annick used hues of mint and blush throughout her rustic wedding.
VENDOR LOVE: The Tarnos take incredible photos, and the whole time Britney was taking pictures, she would just keep telling Annick how excited Alec was to see her and how beautiful she looked. She made everyone feel so comfortable—you can tell she cares so much about her clients. She also had about 25 photos edited by the time the dancing started so the couple could get a sneak peak!
GET HER LOOK: Annick wore an ivory, strapless, A-line Hayley Paige gown from StarDust Celebrations with sweetheart lace bodice, silk georgette flounced skirt with chapel train. The bride added cap sleeves for a personal touch. She made her own flower crown to finish her boho look.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: While it was hard to choose — Annick’s favorite moment from the wedding was when the couple gathered with their siblings and parents while everyone was getting the sendoff ready, and Alec’s brother prayed over them. It was such a quiet, sweet moment before running off to the getaway car.
