Madeline Rehm and Colin Price’s Rustic Vintage DFW Wedding at The Orchard
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Madeline and Colin met when they were at a social between his fraternity, Sigma Chi, and her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha in November 2012. They had a mutual friend at the party, which led their eventual meeting that night. Even though they met then, fate did not have them start dating until February 2013.
THE PROPOSAL: Colin proposed to me on July 11, 2015. We were on a camping trip at Possum Kingdom Lake. Being outdoors and camping has been something that we have enjoyed doing together throughout our relationship. The first morning we were there we decided to wake up early and hike up to a scenic view to watch the sunrise over the lake. When we got to the top, Colin proposed just as the sun peaked over the hills that surround the lake.
THE SETTING: Madeline chose the wedding venue in Fort Worth, Texas, The Orchard, as her venue because she fell in love with the feeling and theme. She wanted a ceremony outside, but was nervous about the weather, and loved that they had three different ceremony locations to use if the weather did not cooperate. Madeline thought the venue did a wonderful job of making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding with as little stress as possible on the bride. The altar was set up underneath the pergola next to a giant oak tree. The pergola had been fully draped in white cloth with two big flower arrangements on either side of the gathering.
FAB FLORALS: Madeline had a garden-style bouquet of ranunculus, garden roses, roses, Queen Anne’s lace, poppies, peonies, spray roses, with streaming ribbons. The colorful bouquet was arranged by Lush Couture Floral.
