Megan Galloway and Shaun Rowan’s Romantic DFW Wedding at Piazza in the Village
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Megan and Shaun met through their fraternity and sorority mixer. Shaun had a crush on Megan for 2 years. When Megan needed help with Accounting homework, Shaun posted it on Facebook and he swooped in right away. After he helped her a few times, Megan went out to dinner with him and he swept her off her feet. They have been together since 2010.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Megan and Shaun went to Austin to visit his family for Labor Day weekend. As they were at dinner, Shaun asked Megan if she would like to go to a park a couple of miles away to see the peacocks, which she loves. After walking around, they stopped in front of a beautiful stone tower and Shaun began to tell Megan how much he loved her. He then got down on one knee and opened up a box that had a light shining on a gorgeous ring. Once he asked, Megan immediately said YES!
THE SETTING: The wedding and reception were held at Piazza in the Village. Everything was in one place, which was important to Megan. The venue had a beautiful chapel with gorgeous chandeliers, as well as a courtyard that had light strands, a Juliet balcony, and beautiful stonework. The ballroom had huge crystal chandeliers and gave such a dreamy feel. Megan fell in love with the overall magical Italian feel of the venue.
HUES SHE USED: The wedding contained colors of blush and lavender, which were accented with silver and greenery. These are Megan’s favorite colors that gave off a whimsical romantic feel like a fairytale!
