A New Twist on Retro-Shabby Chic

It’s been a few weeks since the inaugural issue of Brides of North Texas magazine hit the newsstands and we’ve been busy going to bridal shows across the DFW metroplex to share the mag, our website and blog with brides-to-be! This week, we’re kicking off our editorial spotlight weekly posts showcasing in more detail our photo shoots and some of the fabulous North Texas wedding pros that came together to make the magazine simply remarkable! We’ll give you the scoop on how each editorial layout came to be.

This week, the spotlight is on Holly Tripp Event Design and an incredible team of wedding pros that created a dreamy tablescape featured on pages 116 and 117.  Check out these amazing images captured by Greg Blomberg Photography. We fell in love with Holly’s twist on retro-shabby chic!! Holly immediately thought bright and summery when creating a tabletop for our Spring/Summer issue, and the Dallas Arboretum was the perfect venue to bring it to life! The vibrant yellow calla lilies in the bouquet are paired with rich chocolate hues that simply pop. The lush floral lampshade was constructed with a variety of floral elements that are all soft and whimsical. Fete Des Fleurs did an amazing job with all of the floral elements in the design. They even used flowers to decorate the ‘reserved’ sign place card! All of the flowers used, give this table a soft, airy and original appeal. Treat your guests to these adorable petite fours! Dallas Affaires Cake Co. created decadent chocolate favors for the tabletop. We just love the variety of decoration from butterflies to polka dots to delicious chocolate drizzle! The invites, created by Needle in a Haystack, compliment this entire collection! The subtle floral pattern and chocolate lettering are the perfect pair to this divine tabletop!
