Wedding Dessert Catering

Most wedding dessert vendors deliver your goodies for the wedding day and then head out, letting you arrange your sweets how you’d like for a wedding dessert bar. If an attended station was more your vision for wedding dessert catering, we recommend an edible experience like Girls Who Twirl Cotton Candy, who offer a range of sweets including gourmet cotton candy that is organic, certified vegan and gluten-free, as well as a popcorn bar consisting of six gourmet flavors of gluten-free air-popped popcorn. And, if you want to add a caffeine corner to your wedding scene, we recommend putting Olive Coffee Cart or Nightowl Coffee on the job.

Top Three Trends from Fall/Winter 2020 Bridal Fashion Week

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2019

Another season, another bridal fashion week filled with endless inspiration of jaw-dropping gorgeous gowns! From frothy, organza dream layers to sleek and tailored minimalist looks, we’re still ogling over the new collections and can’t wait to see them on real brides in the months to come. Whether you’re looking for regal and romantic or prefer something a little more whimsically bohemian, you can certainly guarantee you’ll find something to love from the fall/winter 2020 collections! While it’s nearly impossible to pick out our favorites, we spotted some emerging trends that just may be the perfect contenders for your wedding day look! Read on for our top picks and re-watch all the fashion week buzz on our Instagram highlights!

Top Three Trends from Fall/Winter 2020 Bridal Fashion Week

Power Colors

This upcoming season, the non-traditional struck a true power pose on the runways in the form of statement-making gowns in colors quite outside the norm. For the boldest of brides, you’ll soon see a variety of richly hued options to break up the traditional ivory/white options, most notably in the form of red, bright pink, blue and even black! Even if you’re not ready to party with the idea of a white wedding dress, consider this an option to note for a rehearsal dinner statement, or perhaps a fun reception second dress. This little Ines di Santo organza and feather frock would be perfect for a few spins around the after party dance floor, too! Look for it soon at Stanley Korshak and The Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus!

Statement Shoulders

While seasons past and present have advanced the off shoulder silhouette into a staple shape, a new look this season notably taken from ready-to-wear collections made its way across the runways of quite a few designers: the puff shoulder. With nods to an 80s revival, you’ll find current versions of this style to reflect more of a structured shape than those of yesteryear, adding a boldly modern touch for the more fashion-forward bride! We love the addition of a plunging neckline and belt on this Pronovias take for an even more stylish appeal. Find this style in-store soon at Patsy’s Bridal BoutiqueStarDust Celebrations and Bridal Boutique!

Bridal Tailoring

While punchy hues and sharp shoulders may suit some brides, others are clearly after a more timeless yet minimalistic look for their wedding day attire, as noted across many collections showing cleaner lines and tailored shapes. The bridal blazer was a standout takeaway this season, shown over bias cut silk slips, A-line sheaths or paired back to pants and extremely beautiful embellished veils, as exhibited here with Justin Alexander’s take. Again, certainly a style to consider for rehearsal dinners, reception changes and after parties, and even more perfect thrown over a little dress for a post-wedding brunch! Look out for this (and all the other amazing styles) in stores soon at Bridal Boutique!

Moody Modern Texas Wedding Inspiration from Katie Frost Weddings

Wednesday, April 10th, 2019

If bright pastels and soft, romantic hues just aren’t your wedding setting forte, we have a feeling this styled shoot full of moody modern Texas wedding inspiration from Katie Frost Weddings might be just the thing for you! From our new Spring/Summer 2019 issue, we’re obsessing over all of the details that make this editorial feel current but not overly trendy. Set at Brik Special Events Venue, the industrial backdrop featured grey washed wood, ivy-covered brick walls and dark wooden floors to set the tone for the moody romance style shoot, along with the matching neutral-tone custom invitation suite from Ladybird Paper CoLaning Photography captured the magic between the model couple, featuring the bride and her gorgeous laser-cut lace gown from Lovely Bride paired with a loose updo and ultra-glam makeup from Styles by Vero. Perfectly paired for the scene, The Greenhouse 817 created a beautifully overgrown bouquet for the model bride, featuring contrasting blush and pale pink roses and tons of greenery. Coordinating arrangements were used on both the geometric altar from Coral Lane and on the very true-to-Texas whiskey bar featuring craft drinks made from HD Liquid Catering. Of course, it wouldn’t be a wedding without a little sweet treat, and we’re totally loving this wildflower embellished two layer cheesecake from the fabulous Dandelion Cheesecakes! We can’t get enough of this perfectly styled shoot!

Photos // Laning Photography

From planner, Katie Frost of Katie Frost Weddings: “The inspiration for the shoot was drawn from the modern Texan couple. We had a custom hexagon arch built to be our touch of modern, dripping with moody greenery, and what Texas wedding wouldn’t be complete without a whiskey bar. Naturally we wanted to take it up a notch by bringing in some beautifully crafted floral whiskey bottles to inspire all of our Texas loving selves. ”

Floral Filled Tuscan Inspired Wedding at D’Vine Grace Vineyard

Monday, April 1st, 2019

For a touch of European charm mixed with the vast backdrop of a Texas landscape, we’re taking tons of notes from this styled shoot made to mimic a glorious floral filled Tuscan inspired wedding with Luxe Petals. The bloom team experts brought the decadence to D’Vine Grace Vineyard, starting with a larger than life greenery and rose covered altar piece, and extending into everything from teeny stair-lining arrangements to eye-catching table displays featuring furniture from Belle Decor, to a lush bouquet filled with shades of cranberry, peach and plum. Gorgeous stationery from Ladybird Paper Co. help set the scene, while the warm, earthy color palettes reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside were met with soft blues and delicate prints to evoke the elegance of the region, bringing the charm to life! The model bride’s illusion neckline, lace appliqué gown from Lovely Bride was the perfect fit for the understated elegance and nod to bohemia channeled through the space. Her bridesmaid accompanied wearing a draped olive green gown from Bella Bridesmaids. Both girls had hair and makeup styled by Ashley Drew Artistry, the bride wearing her hair in softly styled curls and emphasis on the eyes with a full lash look. Her bridesmaid bestie looked just as stunning with a loose half-up style, the perfect finishing touch to complement her dress! Naturally, one of our favorite details was the mega sparkle effect from the gorgeous diamond rings from The True Gem – obviously any bride’s best accessory! We can’t get enough of this breathtaking scene!

French Ethereal Ballroom Wedding Inspiration from Shannon Rose Events

Wednesday, March 27th, 2019

With a touch of European flair and tons of whimsical romance, we’re obsessing over this French ethereal ballroom wedding inspiration from Shannon Rose Events, her talented team and a slew of other visionary vendors! Set in one of the spectacular ballrooms of The Adolphus Hotel, a muted color palette of powdery blue, soft grey, dusty rose and buttercream made for a fairytale-like scene, all captured by AR Photography. Towering blooms of garden roses and orchids from Dr. Delphinium Designs & Events served as eye-catching centerpieces, bouquets and delicate embellishments on the three-tier cake from Loft22 Cakes. At the table, mixed metal and glassware provided by Posh Couture Rentals added a modern touch to the setting with simple name cards and menus from Hazelwood Paper Co. to top off each place setting. Of course, we can’t help but marvel over the model bride’s soft and easy glam look, in a lace bodice gown from Lovely Bride with an updo and dewey makeup by Brittany Jones Beauty. We’ll be swooning over this wedding scene forever!

Photos // AR Photography

From the planner, Shannon Ducker of Shannon Rose Events: “I was inspired by The Adolphus Ballroom itself. Its clean walls, tall mirrors and abundance of light make it the perfect ballroom setting for any wedding. It was important to us that we always create unique events that also have a traditional and timeless overall feel and look. As a result, I choose a dusty purple and grey color scheme that mixed copper and silver metallics to give a modern edge, while the florals and the room itself felt classic and elegant. This allowed us to create a setting that could not only be seen at your typical ballroom wedding, but also have an ethereal and romantic element to it.”

A Bold Romance from Glitter and Glue Weddings and Events

Wednesday, February 27th, 2019

With a brand new issue comes endless pages of design inspiration, and we can’t stop obsessing over this update on a timeless classic in the form of a black and white styled shoot from Glitter and Glue Weddings and Events! Set at the beautiful Hidden Pines Chapel – Highland Village, the look and feel behind the design combined whimsical romance with bold and modern, resulting in a setting that was equal parts ethereal and elegant. LaneLove Paper Co. set the tone for the affair with a gorgeous paper suite featuring modern design elements, while the menus they created took on more of the classic style of the shoot. A stunning tablescape stole the scene with sleek black furniture and a greenery-covered, wood beam overhang to serve as both a framing piece and a light fixture, all from Belle Decor. On the table, gold and black dinnerware and black opaque goblets, all from Posh Couture Rentals, made for simple yet beautiful styling, perfectly framed by pale pink roses arranged by Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe. Table assignments and sweet quote boards served as additional decor with hand calligraphy by Love Letters Handmade. After what would presumably be a fabulous dinner celebration, a marbled cake from  Butterfly Cakery awaited, perfectly perched on top of a gold and black metal rose embellished cake stand crafted by Chanticleer Wedding Art. And what about the bride, you may ask? She wore a perfectly styled ensemble of a minimal body-skimming gown with delicate lace detailing through the skirt from Patsy’s, a Bridal Boutique, paired with a neat updo and natural glam makeup done by Tease to Please Hair and Makeup. We can’t get enough of this classic style with a twist!

Photos // Jen Symes Photography

From the planner, Ammie Thomas of Glitter and Glue Weddings and Events: “For this shoot, I wanted it to be different with boldness and romance at the same time. Black is such a beautiful color that I wanted to bring to attention mixing it with lush blooms and bold textures with an elegant flair. For the tablescape, I wanted the intimacy of a king’s table and rather than traditional candles, I thought why not have lights hang over. It was something I really enjoyed planning and seeing come to life.”

Moody Bohemian Wedding Inspiration at Monroe Pearson

Friday, January 4th, 2019

With winter’s chill officially setting in, we couldn’t think of a better time to share one of our new favorite styled shoots packed with moody bohemian wedding inspiration set at Monroe Pearson! Captured by the talented Laning Photography, this ultra-romantic shoot styled by the planning team at Weddings by Stardust is the perfect combination of timeless and modern with a stark color palette and ethereal decor elements. Sweeping the tablescape, adorning furniture and crafted into beautifully wild bouquets were decadent florals from Billie Ball & Co., all filled with plenty of greenery and a mix of mauve, plum and crimson blooms. The model bride’s elegant wispy up-do and bold makeup done by Tease to Please Hair and Makeup was the perfect addition to her glam look, and we can’t stop swooning over it all! Be sure to save your favorite images for quick inspo reference later!

Photos // Laning Photography

From the photographer, Hannah Laning of Laning Photography: “We shot this beautifully moody, bohemian fall styled shoot at the new venue Monroe Pearson, one of the Walters Wedding Estates. Billie Ball & Co. went all out with her fall inspired colors that fit perfectly with the vintage industrial feel of this new venue.”
