The Newest Trends from New York Bridal Fashion Week

With another whirlwind bridal fashion week come and gone, we can’t help but to be inspired by all the new trends coming down the pike and into stores before we know it! Fall 2018 proves to have some delightfully fun design elements in store for our brides-to-be, and we took a front row seat to capture all of the magic over on our social media channels! Thanks to our fashion insider, Christina Plumlee, bridal buyer at The Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus, we were able to share a first look at some of the top bridal designers like Reem Acra, Marchesa, Naeem Khan, Galia Lahav, Monique Lhuillier and Ines di Santo! If you missed our live dispatch via Instagram Stories, head over to our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to catch up on all the latest from some of our favorite designers! As we take a look ahead, we’re seeing design details and full-blown trends that are truly unique to the season; a new must-have color combines ethereal lightness and timeless tradition in a “something blue” powdery, pastel hue. Off shoulder shapes continue to reign, but a little extra pomp, poof and circumstance in the form of shiny silk taffeta sleeves and glittery punk-rock embellishments are giving us full-on late 80’s revival. As the fall season tends to bring a bit of chill to the crisp night air, accessories like delicately beaded caplets and floor-skimming capes of tulle, silk and ample embellishments are proving to be a must-have gown topper to add just a little extra pzazz. As for lengths, hemlines are on the rise with lots of elegant mid and even some sassy mini dresses seen across runways. For the bride who errs on the nontraditional side, jumpsuits were plentiful with options ranging from tailored classic to boho chic and sheer embroidered. For something a bit more conventional but no less fresh, gowns of tulle and organza showed lots of soft, cascading wavy layers for an update to timeless silhouettes. We’ll be eagerly awaiting the arrivals of these new styles at local boutiques The Bridal Salon at Neiman Marcus, Lovely Bride, Bridal BoutiqueDe Ma FilleLulu’s BridalPatsy’s Bridal BoutiquePence and PanacheStardust CelebrationsLeanne’s BridalMolly’s BridalBeside the BrideA Bridal Closet and Bella Bridesmaids.and more!
