North Texas Planner Profile: Shannon Rose Events

Calling all sophisticated southern brides! Today, we’re so happy to introduce North Texas wedding planner Shannon Ducker of Shannon Rose Events! Shannon caters to the romantic and classic bride yearning for a beautiful wedding but in need of guidance to help get there. Shannon is the one to help make those dreams come true! She and her team plan and design events for the modern bride, unique to them and in a way that makes the wedding planning process a stress-free atmosphere.

“My personality and overall event management style sets me apart from other planners. Although I am very type A, I am also very outgoing. I love to have a more relaxed and positive attitude when it comes to planning, because I find this creates a more stress-free and enjoyable experience for my couples and their families,” Shannon says. “I do this by not only my overall outlook, but also booking vendors in a specific order, always striving to have a genuine connection with each client, which also allows for a design that is a better reflection of the client.”

As you’ll be able to see from the images below representing Shannon’s work, her events evoke a certain set of emotions. “Our style is a mix of romantic, ethereal and timeless,” she explains. “We love to design events that add a modern twist to the classic elements, while staying true to our couples’ story, personality and style.”

“I love the hand-drawn illustrations used throughout the invitation suite. I think it adds a classic touch and memorable impression for guests. With my architecture background, I am constantly inspired by different elements of each venue I work with, and I loved how it was literally reflected in the invitation suite.”

Speaking of venues, Shannon’s best words of wisdom for brides center on logistics: “I recommend booking your venue or planner first. This way you can have a date set, and have a better idea of the overall budget in the beginning of the planning process. Then from there, book two to three vendors at a time. You don’t have to do it all at once; try to enjoy the process a little!”

Shannon always wants to remind brides to appreciate the season they’re in. “I recommend first taking a deep breath and soaking in the moment. It is a really exciting and big moment in your life, so take a second to enjoy it! Then start to focus on one aspect at a time,” she advises.

“I recently designed the ballroom for Firefly Garden’s open house. The florals provided by Lush Couture Floral were by far my favorite detail from the event. I love working with lush romantic garden style arrangements that use florals as the texture rather the greenery itself. It gives the florals a timeless element, while also staying true to today’s aesthetic,” Shannon explains.

Her work is simply stunning, so timeless and perfect for the couples who appreciate a classic look but want their personal story to be expressed as well. Shannon Rose Events is the key!
