We’re Over the Moon for this Celestial Wedding Inspiration

It’s easy to bring to mind all the ways celestial wedding inspiration has been done before, but we want to introduce you to something new! You could say we are over the moon about this jewel-toned celestial wedding editorial designed and styled by the planning professionals of RK Weddings and Events and captured on film and dreamy photos by Lorena Burns Photography and Films around the historic and industrial Monroe Pearson. There’s nothing like deep jewel tones and luxurious velvet linens to give us feelings of a starry evening. Deck out a crescent moon-shaped altar to set the tone for an evening under the stars or a moody setting indoors. Both altar and the beautiful blooms that covered it were from Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe whose team went on to flower nearly every inch of this colorful wedding inspiration.

All eyes, however, were on this lovely bride glammed up by Jennifer Trotter with Lip Service Makeup who created individually tailored looks to highlight each person’s unique features.  With a focus on soft glam makeup and polished hairstyles, these looks were designed to work beautifully with the jewel-toned bridesmaid gowns from Bella Bridesmaids that each bridesmaid of the day donned. Looking more closely, you might notice each model has a different look – yet they all work so well together in this styled celestial wedding! This allows their natural beauty and expressions to take center stage. 

To top it off, all creatives on this shoot were quite inspired by the incredible and unique wedding dress that stole the show all the way down to statement earrings that finished the look on our beautiful bride. Clean lines met bold floral inspiration to create this uniquely cut graphic lace wedding dress provided by Patsy’s, A Bridal Boutique. This minimalistic, clean-line trend carried over into paperie designed by Bethany’s Letter Shop who created an art deco reminiscent invitation suite as well as elegant menus and hand-lettered wedding signage. Bespoke details hardly stopped there though, as Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery provided a three-tiered wedding cake with the most incredible hand-painted floral details to match the day. It sat atop a cake table from POSH Couture Rentals and truly fit right in among jewel-toned decor and rentals of luxe textures. Though its celestial wedding details are subtle, this wedding vibe still provides such a tasteful touch. See it in warm-feeling photography down below!

From Rachael with RK Weddings and Events: “We are swept up in this fall shoot organized on behalf of our team of pro vendors by Planner RK Weddings & Events. The team decided to soak in all the inspiration with bold and beautiful colors for this styled shoot! Muted jewel tones have us all ready for fall and gave our vendor partners some serious inspiration for a modern, colorful, and unique wedding palette.

We were dreaming of a color palette of muted jewel tones and gold accents and knew that Monroe Pearson would be the perfect place to highlight Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe’s bold floral choices of yellows, pinks, blues and oranges around each element of the shoot.  With brick walls and lots of natural light, their industrial-chic venue allowed us to have unique and fun style elements. 

The creative design elements are carried through to the intimate tablescape with wow-worthy details, including bright florals and floral art. Lorena Burns Photography and Films captured images and film showcasing the bold and beautiful looks of the décor by Posh Couture Rentals, and the striking, 3-tier hand painted wedding cake thoughtfully designed by Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery. Our inspirational piece was the Mottahedeh Tobacco Leaf Dinner Plate from Posh, and we are still swooning over it. The design highlights the leaves of the flowering Nicotiana (Tobacco) plant upon which a small phoenix perches bearing a flowering twig in its beak. Our team just loved the jewel tones and gold accents in a pattern that is undiminished by time. 

Lip Service Makeup created classic yet modern looks for our four gorgeous models, featuring polished hairstyles and soft glam makeup to highlight their features….perfect to set the stage for the warm-toned bridesmaids dresses by Bella Bridesmaids. And to top it off, we are quite inspired by the incredible and unique wedding dress that stole the show with some statement earrings to finish the look on our beautiful bride. Clean lines met bold floral inspiration to create this uniquely cut graphic lace wedding dress loaned to us by Patsy’s, A Bridal Boutique.

Bethany’s Letter Shop worked to create unique and elegant invitations with pops of blue and gold, along with the stunning menu cards adorning the tablescape.

From Heidi with Sugar Bee Sweets: “The textured, buttercream flower cakes have been a fun trend the past year or two and with the bold inspiration palette from Jessie at RK we knew this was going to be the perfect cake design for this photo shoot. We’re big fans of letting your cake design compliment all of the other design choices in your wedding.”

From Jennifer Trotter with Lip Service Makeup: “For our bride model, I chose a sleek hairstyle with glowy makeup featuring soft gold shimmer, rosy lips and cheeks and bold fluffy lashes. This look pairs beautifully with the edgy ear climber earrings and the stunning floral lace gown. Her overall look really highlights balance as a fussier hairstyle would look too busy with this gown, and a soft glam look shows off the model’s natural beauty without overdoing it all while the unexpected earrings pull the entire look together. This look perfectly strides the line between a cool/modern vibe and a timeless quality that’s an ideal choice for bridal style.
