Diana Barksdale and Brian Losak’s Outdoor Winter Wedding by A Stylish Soiree
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Diana and Brian met briefly in 2010 through a mutual friend. They reconnected in 2014 in Houston where they went on their first date. They have been inseparable ever since!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Brian suggested to Diana that they go to the Arboretum and walk around the gardens for exercise. On their walk, Diana sat down on a bench for a break, and Brian got on one knee and popped the question! Afterward, both of their families were waiting at their house to go out to dinner to celebrate. It was such a special day, and Diana was so happy that Brian was able to surprise her with the perfect proposal.
MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT: Besides saying, “I do,” the most memorable moment for the bride and groom was the special appearance by their black lab, Hudson. The family dog was so happy to be there, even for just twenty minutes, and it was so special for Diana and Brian!
THE SETTING: The Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens is a gorgeous hidden gem in Dallas. Diana chose this venue for the delicious food and beautiful gardens. She had heard nothing but good things about the restaurant, and she fell in love with photos of other weddings she had seen at the venue.
DELICIOUS DISHES: Marie Gabrielle nailed the entire menu, starting with a hot chocolate and cider bar prior to the ceremony. Cocktail hour featured signature his and hers cocktails: Old Fashioned and grapefruit mojito. Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres of mini chicken tostadas, crab cakes, and bacon-wrapped stuffed chicken poppers. Dinner was a plated meal starting with Marie Gabrielle wedge, followed by a main course of beef tenderloin served with mixed seasonal vegetables and bacon cheddar risotto.
