This outdoor reception held at Colonial Country Club could light up any room. Kathleen and Marshall tied the knot in a sweet chapel ceremony in the exact place the bride’s grandparents were married! After saying “I do,” the Youngs led their guests over to Colonial where the catering, as well as donut hole favors were provided by the venue as well. Stephanie Brazzle Photography captured these wedding scenes flawlessly, especially the colorful neon photo wall and adorable outdoor seating. Bride Kathleen says one of the parts of the wedding she was most excited about was combining her design talents with planning her wedding. “As a graphic designer, I wanted to do a lot of the design work on my own,” Kathleen said. “I had always dreamed of planning my own wedding one day. I was so thankful to be able to do so much of the planning and design my own invitations, monogram and more.” We are all for a good DIY and putting your talents to good use, and these suites look stunning! Royal Dukes Band was on the scene to keep guests lively but it was especially important they wow the groom who is a musician himself. They passed the test, and Kathleen and Marshall say the band was “amazing!” Guests tossed petals as the newlyweds left the venue in a little yellow vintage Corvair. Read on to hear a note from the bride about the connection between her reception venue and sentimental childhood memories of summers past. Cheers to Kathleen and Marshall!

From the bride: “Our reception was at Colonial Country Club, where I grew up running around every Fourth of July as a kid. My grandparents have been members of Colonial for many, many years.”
