This ‘Queen’s Gambit’ Inspired Wedding Editorial is a Mid-Century Modern Checkmate

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

This mod and moody 60’s inspired wedding, shot and filmed by Silver Bear Creative, is a must for anyone wanting to achieve “Queen’s Gambit” champion Beth Harmon’s prim, intellectual style! Our strategy? Piecing together Loot Rentals’ deco accessories and Mid-Century Modern furniture in the industrial setting at The Ostreum adjourned in dark, eccentric blooms from Camelia Farm Flora for a true design checkmate! Our bride modeled a structured, strapless satin gown from Elizabeth Scott Bridal and natural wedding glam styled by the artists at Brushed to look just as chic and effortlessly elegant as Beth Harmon herself.

The same excitement as being invited to the 1968 Moscow Invitational Chess Tournament can be found when receiving this elegant, green and rust invitation suite from Ellise Paige Calligraphy + Design. Whether cheersing the evening with a fresh Gibson cocktail or craft coffee from Olive Coffee Cart, we know Beth would approve. See more from this chic, “Queen’s Gambit” inspired wedding editorial down below. Cheers!

From Kendall with Ellis Paige Calligraphy & Design: “I love getting to invite my brides into the creative design process. It is so fun when they have a unique vision that I get to help bring to life! The invitation suite is the first impression they make with their guests, so it is important that it sets the tone for the wedding day. A custom suite should reflect the personality of the couple and bring in elements of the overall wedding theme to give the guests a small taste of what is to come!”

Highland Romance: Old World ‘Outlander’ Inspired Wedding Editorial

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

We’ve instantly traveled back in time thanks to Roaming Wild Photography who captured this old-world wedding inspiration that looks as if it’s right out of “Outlander”. The castle-like estate at Aristide | Mansfield was the perfect backdrop for vows as romantic as, “blood of my blood, bone of my bone,” to be exchanged between a kilt-wearing Scotsman and his Sassenach. MK Event Boutique kicked off the Scottish Highland wedding celebration with the perfect invitation suite that featured suede twine and plants similar to those that Claire, a budding botanist, picked near the stone circle of Craigh na Dun. Orange-toned roses and other blooms from Behold Event Floral & Design surround the scene with floral romance while our bride modeled the perfect loosely curled half-up hairdo, styled by the hair artists from Grand Slam Glam, and dramatic natural glam look, created by MBN Cosmetics. Her full-length gown from Lulu’s Bridal was the perfect choice as its soft-plunge neckline and long train were seemingly overflowing with sheer-lace detailing, giving us a modern twist to Claire’s 1743 gown. No Scottish Highland wedding celebration would be complete without a dessert feast fit for the Clan Fraser of Lovat, like this one created by Batch Bakery that features a variety of delectable pies and their mini counterparts. Abundant romance plays out before our very eyes with the help of Topher Films, who filmed the air of magic surrounding this weddingscape where only love that is stronger than a marriage bond can create! Keep scrolling to see all the best shots from this styled shoot and its intricate, “Outlander” inspired design as well as the BTS video of the entire editorial. Je suis prest!

A Traditional Ballroom Wedding with Moody Lighting

Monday, January 10th, 2022

This traditional ballroom wedding has the sweetest beginning – Mackenzie and Reid met in middle school, but didn’t start dating until junior year of high school. After doing long distance for four years in college, Reid popped the question after they both graduated. These high school sweethearts had a darling classic wedding, keep reading to learn all the deets!

Mackenzie picked out her stunning dress from Patsy’s, A Bridal Boutique, and it was an absolute dream with to-die-for detailing! Our sweet bride Mackenzie wanted her bridesmaids to feel like themselves in their dresses, and luckily Stardust Celebrations had the most flattering coastal blue dresses, perfect for this classic wedding.

After gathering all their dresses and getting ready for their big day at The Adolphus Hotel, it was time to get hitched! These two tied the knot at a chapel, and had their reception at The Adolphus Hotel, and boy was it a party! With great music, food and gorgeous florals, it was hard not to enjoy oneself. Their night could not have been any better, and they owe it all to Weddings by Stardust for making their celebration come together so smoothly. See all the pictures of this traditional ballroom wedding day below – cheers!

From the bride on her favorite details: “A couple of my favorite wedding day details were in the tradition of ‘something old, new, borrowed, and blue.’ My ‘something old’ was a handkerchief pinned into my dress made from the bonnet I wore home from the hospital I was born in. My ‘something new’ was a broach attached to my bouquet, and my ‘something blue’ was the embellishments on my garter.”

A Traditional Pakistani Muslim Ceremony Full Of Color And Love

Thursday, January 6th, 2022

This Pakistani Muslim ceremony celebration is full of SO much color and love, we’re not even sure where to start! From the first time Laila and Ali were introduced through mutual friends, they knew it was meant to be. After an exciting proposal on the dock at his family’s beach house in Florida, the two started planning to make sure their big day went off with a hitch.

The couple wed at Laila’s home, and it was nothing but stunning! Starting off in the morning, they had a traditional Pakistani Muslim ceremony. From the decor to the desserts and food, it was all amazing! After this ceremony (and an outfit change that will make your jaw drop), the now married couple went to their second event. Both of their families and friends had prepared dances for them, and we can’t stop smiling at how big their smiles were during the dances! Throughout their entire day their photographer, Tara Arseven Photography was right by their side taking pictures of all the beautiful colors and love! You can just feel the happiness of these two in this one! Congrats to Laila and Ali!

Their big day was so much fun, our bride had a hard time picking out what her favorite memory was! If she had to choose, she said it was, “an old Pakistani tradition where the bride is usually covered by a veil. After the marriage ceremony, the veil is lifted so both the bride and groom are underneath. They both then look into a mirror to see each other as husband and wife for the first time.”

This Chinoiserie Wedding Decor Will Make You Swoon

Monday, December 20th, 2021

If you’ve ever thought about having a rooftop wedding, this is your sign! Jackie and Bryce were inspired by modern weddings and chinoiserie details, and turned their inspirations into real life. Tying the knot at The Venue at 400 North Ervay’s rooftop garden in the heart of Dallas was a night they won’t ever forget. Their big weekend started at the Fairmont Dallas, and it was the perfect accommodation for all of their friends and family. After resting up for the fun day ahead, everyone headed to the venue. Jackie got ready with her bridal party, and when we say it was a PARTY – it most definitely was! Getting ready couldn’t have been anymore fun, and we have the pictures to prove it. Our jaws hit the floor when we saw what Jackie wore – a sleek Sareh Nouri gown with an oversized lace bow in back from Stanley Korshak Bridal Salon. The orchid-filled floral arrangements from Lizzie Bee’s Flower Shoppe were so breathtaking, and looked picturesque alongside the blue chinoiserie vases and china. We can’t get enough of this stunning rooftop wedding – keep scrolling to see all of the gorgeous chinoiserie wedding decor!

From the bride on her favorite memory: “I will never forget seeing Bryce’s face and his tears when he saw me for the first time. He is not a sensitive guy, but he cried like a baby when he saw me. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry all over again!”

A Boho Glam Wedding In The Heart of Highland Village

Wednesday, December 15th, 2021

Sometimes when you find your person, you just know, and this sweet couple knew after their first date. Hailey and David met sophomore year of college, and while they were just friends at first, they both knew something would come out of it! The pair finally tied the knot in November in a boho glam wedding.

We all know planning a wedding can be stressful, but finding the dress of your dreams is no easy task either. When it came to finding the dress that gave her the ‘feeling,’ Hailey was so lucky and found it at Bridal Boutique! You can’t tell us that she doesn’t look absolutely stunning in her dress! When it was wedding weekend, Hailey and David’s nuptials took place at Hidden Pines | Highland Village where they celebrated with the people they loved the most. We have to give a shout out to Hailey, because she did this all without a wedding planner, and the details are absolutely stunning! Their photographer, Opal & Onyx Photography couldn’t have done a better job capturing their wedding – scroll to see all the pretty pics of this boho glam wedding!

Can you guess Hailey’s favorite memory? Of course it was all of it, but if she had to pick a moment it would be: “our first look. We were both so nervous on the morning of our wedding, not nervous to get married, but nervous nonetheless. As soon as we laid eyes on each other during the first look, all of those uneasy feelings went away.”

Trendy Olive and Terracotta Bohemian Wedding with Pampas Grass Galore

Monday, December 6th, 2021

Conley and William tied the knot in early 2021, and we absolutely love every eclectic wedding detail! Their bohemian wedding is everything you need to see and more! Brown Fox Creative made the most stunning suite complete with tassels and velvet ribbon, and we could not be more obsessed. Following their color palette of neutrals with pops of olive and terracotta closely, these invitations set the standards for their wedding. Before they knew it, it was their wedding weekend! All of their families gathered at the HALL Arts Hotel and prepared for the fun that was ahead of them. While planning, it was clear that Conley and William wanted a bohemian wedding, and their expectations were blown out of the water by their planner Whitney from Engaged Events. Pampas grass and vintage rugs lined the aisle to the arbored altar – a scenic backdrop for a Texas wedding. The pampas grass was brought indoors for the reception, where their ballroom was lined with family style farm tables and woven baskets and greenery hanging overhead. The trendiest geometric escort card display at the entry was dressed in a neon light with the couple’s initials and tassel escort cards. From beginning to end, it was a bohemian dream! Scroll to see all the pictures that are making our heart explode!

Bride Conley said her dream wedding maker was: “our wedding planner and photographer! Whitney [with Engaged Events] exceeded our expectations and put together the most amazing day. Without her none of this would have been possible. She has such attention to detail and completely transformed our venue.”

A Glamorous Boho Wedding In The Heart of Dallas

Wednesday, December 1st, 2021

If you’re in the mood to see a glamorous wedding with a hint of boho vibes, this is the one for you! Starting off as Facebook friends, Ellie and Brandon tied the knot at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and it was everything and more!

After getting ready with her mom and best friends, they all went down to the lake to take pictures. Her bridesmaids understood the assignment with their dresses from StarDust Celebrations! They fit the glamorous theme perfectly in their matching champagne-colored dresses. After all the fun was over with her bridal party, it was time for Ellie to get married! As Ellie walked down the aisle, she turned heads with her dress from Stanley Korshak Bridal Salon. Form-fitting with lace and a long train, she saw Brandon waiting for her at the altar. After ten years of dating, these two were officially married.

During their happy hour, guests were served drinks and coffee from the Nightowl Coffee Cart – such a unique idea! And if you thought their ceremony was pretty, you’ll love their reception. The boho theme came to life with beautiful flowers and pampas grass at each table. After eating their food and enjoying the company of all their loved ones, Ellie and Brandon cut the most beautiful cake from Butterfly Cakery. This night could not have been any more perfect. Get ready to love everything about this glamorous wedding, perfectly captured by Laning Photography – cheers!

As their night came to an end, Ellie reminisced on her favorite part of the day: “Our reception was simply perfect! All of our wedding guests had a blast and danced the whole night. One of my favorite parts was the coffee bar complete with unlimited espresso martinis – it was a hit.”

A Boho Wedding Filled With Fall Colors And Pampas Grass

Monday, November 29th, 2021

There’s something about fall colors in a wedding that is truly magical. Jordan and Tanner Hurst knew that when they planned their October wedding – and we’re absolutely obsessed with how it turned out! Using a color palette of champagne, gold, rust and taupe, this fall colored wedding planned by Blissful Weddings & Events will give all the inspiration you need.

Their day started when they arrived at Davis & Grey Farms, and all the excitement rushed to both Tanner and Jordan as they realized their wedding day was finally here. Jordan looked effortlessly stunning in her form fitting Essense of Australia gown from Bridal Boutique with head-to-toe lace and half up hairstyle and warm beauty look styled by Tease to Please Hair and Makeup! Jordan’s favorite memory was seeing how emotional Tanner got when she walked down the aisle – talk about goals! Davis & Grey Farms‘ outdoor chapel was dressed in pampas grass, eucalyptus and rust-colored roses for a boho backdrop set against the Texas countryside.

After the I do’s and a cocktail hour, brought to them by HD Liquid Catering, Vestals Catering served dinner to their guests, and it was nothing short of amazing. The night ended with dancing, more pictures and, of course, cake! Their cake was custom made by Butterfly Cakery, and topped with peachy roses, gold foil flecks and the cutest gold cake topper with the couple’s new married name. Keep scrolling to see all the photos taken of this amazing day – cheers!

Everyone has a dream wedding maker, and Jordan’s was Jill from Davis & Grey Farms! Here’s what she had to say: “Our most helpful vendor was Jill, who owns Davis & Grey Farms with her husband. From the moment we met her, we felt like she had our best interest at heart. Every vendor she recommended exceeded our expectations. We felt like she was part of the family.”
