SWEET BEGINNINGS: Katherine and Brooks met through mutual friends at a bowling alley over Christmas break when she was 16 and he was 17. They started texting that night and began dating within a few short weeks. Before long, these high school sweethearts became college sweethearts, and the rest is history!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Brooks asked Katherine’s best friend to make dinner plans with her, but instead of going to dinner, she dropped Katherine off in a park and handed her a letter. The letter had Katherine follow a path of tea lights in mason jars along a reflection pond with other letters staged along the way. With rain coming down, Katherine followed the path leading to Brooks who was waiting patiently on a bridge under an umbrella. It was there that he knelt down on one knee and proposed.
THE SETTING: The couple chose to be wed at The Rosewood Crescent Hotel because of its elegant and timeless scene. After days of rain and flooding in Dallas, the couple made the decision to move the ceremony inside to the beautiful glass enclosed garden room and it became the perfect setting.
HUES SHE USED: Katherine and Brooks chose a romantic vintage chic theme with hues of champagne and blush – fit for the season, yet timeless.
DELICIOUS DISHES: The amazing food was catered by the talented culinary team at The Crescent Hotel. Their menu included crab cake, pecan crusted chicken, New York strip and Caesar salad.
