Ashley Dahlen and Coleman Ord’s Classic Southern Wedding by Chic Fleur Weddings and Events
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Ashley and Coleman met while they were students at Texas A&M University. They both attended Chilifest one year, a country concert right outside of College Station, and found each other in the crowd of 50,000 people. Ashley and her friends were celebrating her birthday and came across Coleman’s fraternity tent, and he knew just how to get her attention. He had the whole tent sing “Happy Birthday” to her, and a few months later, they met again at a mutual friend’s lake house. Their friendship grew for a couple of years until they knew they were meant to be more than friends.
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Coleman rented a small bed and breakfast in Fredericksburg for a weekend getaway and asked Ashley to join him. After dinner, they went for a hike around the house. When they reached the overlook, Ashley pulled out her phone to capture the scene and noticed Coleman standing behind her, preparing to get down on one knee. She was shocked and surprised, but so excited!
SOUTHERN CHARM: Ashley was inspired by her love for neutral colors and natural elements combined, so she chose the hues of blush, taupe, gold and grey to create the simple and classic southern wedding she had always wanted.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Her gorgeous bouquet from Something Pretty Floral consisted of pink peonies, white garden roses, white and blush ranunculus, varieties of blush roses and mixed greenery, tied together with a satin ribbon.
SAVORY SWEETS: The cake by Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery had alternating patterns on the four tiers with the couple’s wedding monogram on the top. It also showcased beautiful flowers from Something Pretty Floral.
VENDOR LOVE: Ashley absolutely loved her wedding coordinator, Whitney Bailey of Chic Fleur Weddings and Events. She could not have survived wedding planning without her, and Whitney always knew the answer for every detail and question Ashley had!
