Caslin was on a work trip recruiting students to a prayer-based ministry in Dallas when she crossed paths with Luke. He approached her table in hopes of learning more about the ministry, and to get to know her better. Over the next few years, their bond strengthened and they became inseparable.
The couple took a day trip to Colorado Bend State Park to celebrate a friend’s birthday – or so Caslin thought. The pair went on the trip with another couple and unbeknownst to her, the three had devised the perfect surprise proposal! When they got near a gorgeous waterfall, they broke the rules and went under a roped-off section. Not questioning this, Caslin ducked under thinking this was for a quick photo op. When she went to pose with Luke for a photo, he wouldn’t turn to face the camera. Instead, he motioned toward his hand that was holding a box. Luke declared his love for Caslin and asked her to be his forever. She happily said yes!
