Kate met Sam through friends and wanted to get to know him better. After eight months of running into each other, they finally exchanged numbers that led to their first date. After that date, she received a letter in her mailbox that read, “Kate, I had a great time last night. Second date next week? -Sam.” She knew then he was different and definitely worth the wait. To make sure the busy Kate was free, Sam had his sister enlist her planning help for his “surprise birthday party.” On the day of the party, Kate got home where Sam was waiting – along with the living room filled with candles, roses and rose petals. He knelt down on one knee, opened a ring box with a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring, and told her how much he loved her. A few hours later, Sam surprised Kate again with a party at The Live Oak in Fort Worth with their closest friends and family.
