Puppy Love: A Lilac and Blush Garden Wedding at The Bowden
Morgan got ready with her bridesmaids in lavender robes and champagne, her mom buttoning the back of her gown before helping her into her shoes. Her quietest portraits at The Bowden came after, alone in a bed of tulips, down a cypress-lined path, and under a blooming cherry tree. In the chapel, a dark wood cross stood between urns of white hydrangea, pink roses, and lavender stock, and Morgan and Corder exchanged vows there before Corder dipped her into their first kiss, her train spilling across the tile.
Dolly, their puppy in a lace bandana, turned up in nearly every portrait after that, from the full wedding party photo at the chapel’s stone facade to a spot of her own on the reception placemats and the cocktail bar. The ballroom opened under crystal chandeliers and purple light, gold stands of hydrangea and roses marking every table, and Morgan and Corder took their first dance under marquee letters spelling out Mr. & Mrs. Corder before walking out through a sparkling tunnel of sparklers.
