SWEET BEGINNINGS: Laura and Gregory met more than three years ago while they were out in Fort Worth. Gregory was with his friends, and Laura was on a strict “Girls Night Out,” rejecting all the guys that came their way. Gregory approached the ladies and Laura was immediately taken with his tall frame, low mysterious hat, sense of humor and Georgia accent. She knew she hadn’t met anyone quite like him. Sparks flew that night, so Gregory invited Laura to a Super Bowl party the following day. The rest, as they say, is history!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Gregory surprised Laura with a trip to one of her favorite places, Seattle! They spent the day shopping the market and trying to fit in with the locals. Gregory told her to be ready at 6 o’clock sharp for their evening plans. They headed off and Laura soon realized they were heading to Lake Union where Gregory had rented a charming antique yacht for them to enjoy. They cruised around while enjoying wine and cheese and watching the beautiful sunset. Laura was so thrilled by this little romantic surprise, not even realizing there was much more to come! As the yacht headed back to land, they passed the house from “Sleepless in Seattle,” which is Laura’s favorite movie. They took a few photos and then Laura realized there was another boat with a huge banner that said, “Laura will you marry me?” Laura began to cry uncontrollably as Greg got down on his knee to ask the big question. After minutes of tears and at a loss for words, Laura finally blurted out, “Yes!”
THE SETTING: Gregory and Laura celebrated their wedding reception at The Fort Worth Club. They loved how charming, elegant and romantic it was. The chandeliers took Laura’s breath away, and the food was absolutely amazing! They also enjoyed working with Melissa from The Fort Worth Club, who was a welcomed breath of fresh air.
