Airy Romantic North Texas Wedding at Hidden Pines Chapel | Erica + Billy
by Lindsey Craig March 18
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Erica and Billy started off their relationship on a healthy note by meeting at the gym. After seeing her there a few times, Billy finally got the courage to approach Erica. He opened the conversation by complimenting her thighs, and the rest is history!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Billy proposed on Christmas Eve 2014 with both Erica and Billy’s families present to witness. It caught Erica so off guard that she was barely able to respond. She just nodded and squeezed him ever so tightly.
THE SETTING: Hidden Pines Chapel is open, airy, and although it’s an indoor space, the windows are so large that you feel like you’re outside. The décor in the reception hall worked so well with the couple’s personal taste. From the gray wood floors and stone walls, to the gorgeous chandeliers and clear chiavari chairs with ivory chair pads, this chapel was perfect for their night of romance.
AMAZING ALTAR: The altar was breathtaking. The tall ceilings and cedar wood walls made for a spectacular impression as guests entered the chapel. The altar was located in front of a gorgeous stone mantle and a fireplace filled with candles.
RUSTIC ROMANCE: The couple wanted timeless colors and used ivory, gold, navy blue and peach. Gold had to be incorporated somehow because it can be used with a variety of colors and has different textures that work well with everything. These colors were perfect for their rustic romance theme.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: The bride’s bouquet was a Stems of Dallas masterpiece of peach and ivory blooms with a lot of garden greens. The inclusion of fluffy white hydrangea, white garden roses, peach Juliet garden roses, ivory dahlia and ivory ranunculus made for an even more spectacular flower arrangement.
SAVORY SWEETS: Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery nailed Erica’s vision. It was a gorgeous four-tiered cake with navy blue icing on the bottom, metallic gold above, and two more layers of naked cake on top. It was finished off with a trail of flowers spiraling down the front.
