A Dreamy Sunflower Engagement Shoot

Thursday, December 2nd, 2021

So much happiness can be seen and felt with this dreamy sunflower engagement shoot with Sarah Blaze Photography. Maison and Jesse’s summer-themed engagement shoot took place at a hidden gem outside of Dallas. The couple met at College Station through mutual friends. The two hit it off instantly and have been inseparable ever since. Jesse proposed to Maison on a beach in San Francisco with the Golden Gate Bridge as their backdrop. How amazing!  Maison and Jesse planned for a July summer wedding. However, due to Covid, the couple made the hard decision of delaying their wedding to October.  The reality of pushing back your wedding is a nightmare no bride wants to face, but Maison and Jesse made the most out of the situation. Sarah Boyd Photography found a bright and cheerful hidden sunflower field to bring joy to the couple on their original wedding date (July 10, 2020) with an engagement shoot. There is something about a bright full yellow sunflower that brings such a feeling of happiness. That love and happiness clearly shine through in Maison and Jesse’s engagement shoot. Keep scrolling to see all the bright and cheerful images from Jesse and Maison’s dreamy sunflower engagement shoot. Also, read a special note from Maison about her excellent photographer, Sarah Blaze.

From bride Maison: “Sarah, our wonderful photographer, gave us two shoots, one for our engagement and one for what would have been our original wedding date (July 10th). We shot our engagement shoot in a sunflower field a hour away from Dallas Texas on our original wedding date! Sarah found the perfect hidden gem of a location and it was so special”

Showcasing LGBTQ+ Couples with a Palm Springs-Inspired Shoot

Tuesday, November 30th, 2021

Sara Boyd Photography shot the most magnificent Palm Springs-inspired shoot with a mission to increase representation for LGBTQ+ couples in the wedding industry. We feel honored to showcase this styled shoot on Brides of North Texas to help Sara’s mission with Allied Editorials. Allied Editorials allows wedding vendors to diversify their portfolio to attract LGBTQIA+ clientele and create a safe space for LGBTQIA+ couples to celebrate their love. To do this, Sara brought Palm Springs to Texas with her cheerful shoot. The invitation suite designed by Bethany’s Letter Shop uses a bright color palette with colors that usually come to mind when you think of Palm Springs. Orange, moss green, teal and millennial pink are the perfect combination that screams fun and cheerful. The rentals used from Posh Couture Rentals are wow-worthy. The tablescape instantly makes us feel that we are about to sit down and have dinner under the palm trees in southern California. We could not be more obsessed with the use of citrus spread along the table that brings a splash of color on the deep teal table cloth. This shoot has us wanting to book a trip to Palm Springs ASAP.

Sara photographed two couples, and two solo trans brides in this Palm Springs-inspired styled shoot. The first handsome couple is Adrian and Hawke. We love how the bright orange suit shows off the Palm Spring-inspired vibe photographed with the bright florals. Next, the flower crown stole the show in Jay and Yvette’s session. The off-the-shoulder gown from anna bé paired with the flower crown is so Palm Springs chic! Bride Kattalyna looked absolutely gorgeous in her flowy dress with an iconic front slit skirted ball gown. The way the wind takes hold of her veil and her dramatic red lip are photos you have to keep scrolling to see! Finally, Dani showed off her natural beauty with a simple white A-line gown but spiced it up with a floral cape tied around the neck. The floral cape is so unique and beautiful and is a detail you have to see for yourself! Keep scrolling to see all the images from this whimsical Palm Springs-inspired styled shoot.

Yellowstone Fans Will Love This Moody Ranch Engagement

Monday, November 29th, 2021

Anna and Kade’s moody ranch engagement shoot is bringing us all the best western vibes. Shot on the couple’s ranch, Laning Photography captured the moody images and cowboy flair in the most captivating way. It’s no surprise that we love this ranch-style engagement shoot with all the hot western trends taking over recently. We can thank Yellowstone for our recent Stetson and Carhart purchases! However, this cowboy and his future bride completely stole our hearts.

Anna and Kade covered the ranch in kisses and laughter, all captured by Laning Photography. The couple made sure to get photos with their horses and an old school Mustang with the dreamy Texas countryside background. The love between Anna and Kade is clearly captured, and we know that their upcoming wedding will be absolutely amazing. You don’t want to miss all the western vibes in this moody ranch engagement shoot. Keep scrolling!

Say “I Do” with this Classic Black and White Winter Wedding

Friday, November 26th, 2021

This classic black and white winter wedding is full of personalized details and dazzling decor. Pharra met Roderick when she was 16, working at Hollister in Hulen Mall. Roderick came into the store, and Pharra instantly thought he was so cute! Roderick asked for Pharra’s number, and the two immediately hit things off. However, Roderick joined the Air Force and got stationed in Alaska, and Pharra didn’t see him for years. Nonetheless, fate has a funny way of working out because ten years later, the two reconnected in the same place they met, Hulen Mall. Roderick had come home for his mother’s birthday and headed to the mall to grab a gift. That same day, Pharra headed to the mall to buy a couple of things, and the two ran into each other. Roderick asked Pharra out on a date that night, and the rest is history!

The couple said, “I do,” on a beautiful December day. We love all the unique details that Pharra and Roderick added to their wedding, making it personalized to them. The two love Disney and wanted to incorporate Disney elements into their special day. For example, they added a welcome sign that said “Be Our Guests,” and Pharra wore a little Mickey Mouse pearl on her bouquet. The couple also wanted to celebrate their love of winter and all things Christmas with their wedding. To do this, they included a hot cocoa bar, winter blankets for guests, and the bridesmaids wore fur shawls. However, our favorite detail of this wedding is how the bride honored her late mother. Pharra attached a charm with her mother’s photo to her bouquet so she could be there as she walked down the aisle. The bride also wore the same shoes Carrie Bradshaw wore at her wedding because her mom loved the movie Sex and the City. This couple honored who they were as a couple and put their personalities into every detail, and we could not love it more! Pharris Photos + Philms captured this classic black and white winter wedding. Keep scrolling to see all of their stunning images and a special note from the bride!

From the bride on her favorite wedding day memory: “My favorite wedding day memory was the first look. Rod is very sweet and always tells me I’m beautiful, but the way he looked at me in my dress for the first time was different. He made me feel more beautiful and more loved in that moment than I’d ever felt before. It was such a great moment – I’d almost forgotten we weren’t the only two people in the world.”

An Intimate Organic and Ethereal Union of Love

Wednesday, November 24th, 2021

Alexandria and Drew learned that sometimes all you need is love in their intimate, organic and ethereal wedding. Like many 2020 couples, Alexandria and Drew had to face the harsh reality of canceling their wedding months before their big day. Originally scheduled for July 2020, the couple pushed their wedding to October and decided to have a small intimate ceremony with close family and friends. At the time, Alexandria worked in the hospital as a nurse. Seeing the pandemic on the frontline gave Alexandria a new perspective on what was truly important to her: marrying her best friend. However, their ethereal and organic wedding turned out to be everything the couple dreamed of and more despite having to cut their number from over 200 to just 40 people.  Alexandria and Drew said, “I do,” at the Artspace 111, surrounded by the love of their closest family and friends. On the day of the wedding, the future Mr. and Mrs. Hickman were eager to become husband and wife. At the first look, Alexandria showed off her deep-v lace dress and her newly chopped hair that she cut hours before the wedding.  After the first look, it was finally time for the couple to become husband and wife officially. Their open-air ceremony with the most majestic tree as their backdrop focal point gives us the best boho vibes. Pampas grass and accents of Dried Globe thistle made for the most ethereal and elegant floral arrangement. The couple exchanged vows, and then the party began! The newly weds and guests danced, sipped cocktails, and had an open mic for anyone to share a few words about the couple. Alexandria and Drew incorporated the open mic concept for their guests to feel valued and heard by them.  We absolutely love this idea!  Molly Murphy Photography captured all the intimate love and happiness shared throughout the day. Keep scrolling to see more of this ethereal and organic wedding and a special note from the bride! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Hickman!

“I learned that your wedding is about your marriage. A wedding is a fun celebration, but all the small details truly don’t matter. All you need is good food, drinks, music and the people you love.”

The Perfect Pastel Palette in this Southern Charm Wedding Inspiration

Wednesday, November 10th, 2021

One thing we know for sure is that the perfect pastel palette with soft pinks, baby blues and mellow yellows that inspired this styled shoot will surely melt your heart. Shot at a luxurious estate-style venue in Rockwall, Texas, we can’t help but feel all the southern charm that this shoot has to offer. The perfect pastel floral combination from Behold Event Floral & Design is all things romantic and classy. We love the way the pastel blooms match the soft pink linens from AM Linen Rental. The pastel pink linen will match with anything, and it is a great way to add a subtle pop of color.

Additionally, we love wedding inspiration that is timeless and classic, especially for the bride’s hair and makeup look. Rowan Beauty showed off three natural beauty looks that are all three elegant and modern. An elegant beauty look is simply hard to beat because it pairs perfectly with any wedding gown style. We love the three different bridal looks shown in this styled shoot. Each look is elegant, modern, and oh so romantic paired with the perfect pastel bouquets. We are completely swooning!
