A Timeless Black + White Wedding with Minimalist, Classic Details

Wednesday, December 9th, 2020

Karlene and Taylor wanted a celebration with a timeless feel, and we think their black and white classic wedding day planned by Lyons Events embodies that timeless feel in every aspect! Before this day started, Karlene and her bridesmaids enjoyed a slow morning getting ready at The Adolphus Hotel, and we must say they all looked absolutely beautiful. Held against the stunning natural landscape of the outdoor gardens at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, the cozy and warm feels of this ceremony are radiant and the perfect embodiment of a timeless scene. Lovely minimalist details of sleek white linens, black napkins and metallic gold touches work in perfect harmony with this couple’s custom invitation suite by Lyons Paperie, tying all the classic, timeless and minimalistic details of this day together seamlessly. Between dancing the night away on the dance floor, guests enjoyed incredible eats from Beyond the Box Weddings, whose catering is still talked about today by the couple’s guests! After the conclusion of this celebration, guests headed to the Le Meridien, Dallas, The Stoneleigh, where the festivities continued all weekend long. Scroll to see how this timeless day will never go out of style, all thanks to the amazing photos by Dyan Elizabeth Photography! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Stewart!

From the bride on her favorite wedding memory: “The ceremony was my favorite memory of the day because we were making a commitment to one another in front of God and all of our friends and family. Taylor planned the whole ceremony, so for me it was special to see what he had planned and carefully picked for us. Taylor’s vows were so thoughtful and personalized, and I still have his handwritten notes to this day.”

It’s Almost as if Fate Lead this Corona Couple to their Dream Ceremony Venue

Friday, December 4th, 2020

Fate was definitely on Caroline and Daniel’s side, as COVID-19 allowed them to have the dream ceremony venue they wouldn’t have been able to use with their original guest list! While everything in the postponing process due to Covid wasn’t anything this couple imagined, the end result was a day they will forever be grateful for. Originally scheduled to happen on April 11th, 2020, the couple’s six year dating anniversary, cuts to the guest list and restrictions on gatherings quickly took a toll on scheduled plans. But that didn’t get them down! After contacting the church and asking to use White’s Chapel for their corona wedding ceremony, Daniel reminded Caroline that before he even proposed, she talked about how she would love to get married at White’s Chapel. And look how it ended up happening! Complete proof that you can’t quarantine love. Scroll to read this couple’s complete story and to see all the sweet details in their chapel corona wedding day. Cheers to the Walkers!

From the bride: “Daniel proposed in April of 2018, and we started planning our wedding for April 11, 2020 (our six year dating anniversary). It started with us cancelling our honeymoon to Italy, then we thought we would be able to have the wedding but with only 100 guests, then with only 50, and then with ten. We always remained positive, and when we finally had to push everything to August, we knew we still wanted to have a ceremony on our original wedding date even if it was just the two of us. Daniel reminded me that right before we got engaged, I had shown him this chapel and said ‘if we didn’t have such a large guest count for our wedding one day, I would want to get married here.’ There we were, a slightly rainy Saturday with our parents, siblings, officiant and photographer. It was perfect and lovely. We took pictures around the church, then went to my parents’ house for dinner. When we arrived, all of our aunts, uncles and a few cousins drove by in a car parade with bells, confetti, signs and horns cheering us on six-feet apart. We felt so loved and celebrated that day. You can’t quarantine love.”

A Modern, Moody & Oh-So Romantic Winter Wedding with Edgy Details

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020

This modern and moody winter wedding is oh-so romantic and features a few edgy details that fit just perfectly! The grandeur of The Olana is always unmatched, but being paired with the stunning gold, black and burgundy details of Hayley and Aaron’s December wedding takes this scene to a whole new level of elegance. Hayley’s bridal gown from StarDust Bridal is so gorgeous and the absolute perfect gown for a winter wedding. We love the choice of black bridesmaids gowns, as it’s such a unique, wintery color that only adds to all the moody vibes of this day. Tablescapes including clear glass decor, gold utensils and black linens make their reception scene a modern dream, and their custom “The Bushes” neon sign is a classic edgy detail that we absolutely love. LeForce Entertainment kept the romantic vibes going all night long on the dance floor and every single modern and moody detail was expertly captured by Laning Photography. Our favorite part of this day has to be their four-tiered wedding cake from Butterfly Cakery, adorned with fresh flowers and gold foil for an extra pop of metallic color. Scroll to see all the modern, moody, and oh-so romantic details of Hayley and Aaron’s wedding day, and to watch their wedding film from Reverent Wedding Films! Cheers!

From the bride: “Looking back, the biggest thing I learned was to prioritize the details that meant the most to us and to focus on those throughout the hundreds of other decisions that need to be made. It’s easy to get lost in all of the little decisions, but keeping those few things in mind kept the little decisions from overwhelming the important ones.”

An Elegant and Timeless Blush Wedding at The Olana

Friday, November 27th, 2020

This elegant and timeless blush wedding at The Olana is a scene that will never go out of style! Full of all the prettiest gold, blush and ivory details, this wedding by Alexa Kay Events has a truly romantic feel that we will always love. Mariah’s beautiful silk mermaid-style bridal gown from the Bridal Boutique was truly the perfect choice for a summer Texas wedding, as she looked gorgeous in every way imaginable. Beside the Bride not only provided the perfect shade of blush for bridesmaids dresses, they also let Mariah pick eight different styles to match each personality of her eight bridesmaids. After enjoying a delicious dinner from The Olana at their head table – adorned with the prettiest ivory linens, gold decor, and a pop of lush greenery – it was time to party! Marquis Pro’s live saxophone artist was a MAJOR hit, as they played along with the DJ and even partied out on the dance floor with guests all night long. Butterfly Cakery executed two one-of-a-kind cakes to end the evening on a perfectly sweet note – a simple yet elegant brides cake, and personalized groom’s cake, featuring the couple’s love for OU Football, and Blair’s love of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys. Scroll to see all of the classically elegant blush and ivory details of this wedding day! Cheers to Mariah and Blair!

A Simply Elegant Blush + Ivory Chapel Corona Wedding

Monday, November 23rd, 2020

Simply elegant is all we have to say about this blush and ivory chapel corona wedding! After numerous cuts to the guest list and restriction changes, Madeline and Connor decided to have a private intimate chapel ceremony with just their immediate families and officiant present. While it was super last minute, it warms our hearts that this corona couple was still able to have some of their original wedding vendors there to make this day extra memorable. Laning Photography not only drove several hours into town to capture Madeline and Connor’s special day, Hannah Laning also convinced Madeline to wear her real wedding gown to the ceremony, making for some of the most unbelievably stunning photos! Scroll to see all the simple elegance and to read how this couple decided to have their blush and ivory corona wedding. Cheers!

Photo // Laning Photography

From the bride: “Connor and I had been dating for almost nine years before we got married. We’d been planning this wedding for the last year while he also studied tirelessly for the MCAT to get into med school. Two weeks before our wedding, group gathering restrictions were put into place where you couldn’t have more than 150 people, so we sadly cut our guest list down to 150. The restriction was then lowered to 50 people, and our wedding at this point was looking like a wedding at home, not the dream wedding we’d been planning. Restrictions changed again to 20 people with social distancing guidelines in place. We were heartbroken, but I was also in shock. I recommended we just get married in my living room that night with our immediate families. No wedding dress, no professionals. Just us, our families and our officiant. After talking it over, we decided to move our little ceremony to the next day. We called our church, photographers and my hair and makeup artist to let them know we were getting married the next day but would be postponing our reception to a later date. Their responses were overwhelming! The church offered to open up the chapel to us, our photographers said that they would drive several hours back into town to get photos of our special day, and Hannah Laning talked me into wearing my real wedding dress since they’d be there to take pictures! Brittany Jones offered to drive all the way to my house that next day to give me my original bridal look. I was speechless! Although we were so sad we couldn’t celebrate with everyone, we are so glad we were able to finally get married after all of this!”

With the perfect amount of southern charm and rustic details, bright white walls and beautiful lush grounds, the blush details and wood accents throughout Katie and Nicks wedding combine with this gorgeous venue to create a truly stunning scene. There isn’t a single detail of Katie’s bridal look that we don’t love – her elegant, floral lace-detailed wedding gown from LeAnn’s Bridal is a stunner, and combined with her natural makeup glow by Tease to Please Hair and Makeup makes her the most gorgeous bride. Culinary Art Catering served up some of the most scrumptious eats, and HD Liquid Catering curated the perfect craft cocktails for guests to sip on all evening long. Punchy + Muted Hues Make for the Perfect Summer Color Palette

Monday, November 16th, 2020

This summer wedding is full of the prettiest punchy and muted hues – we can’t think of a more perfect summer color palette! Grand Slam Glam ensured Karissa was the most gorgeous bride with their expert hair and makeup artistry of a loosely-curled, pulled back hairstyle with a natural makeup glow, accented by a lovely soft blush lip that went seamlessly with the color palette of this romantic day. We can’t help but think of the perfect golden hour Texas sunset when we look at all of the dusty lavender, peachy pink and golden honey hues that fill this gorgeous summer Little Elm wedding. Clear acrylic ghost chairs, metallic gold utensils and light lavender linens make for tablescape details that combined into an oh-so elegant and modern scene. To make this day even more of a dream, LeForce Entertainment kept guests dancing all night long, and they even played a part in the bride’s favorite wedding day memory featured below. Scroll to see how the punchy + muted hues in this wedding make for the perfect summer color palette! Cheers to Karissa and Lee!

From the bride: “The final dance Lee and I had together was a moment I will never forget. He held me in his arms as we danced to our favorite song with no one else around. We looked into each other’s eyes and cried happy tears for the amazing journey that has brought us here together. As our final dance finished, we walked hand-in-hand to the doors of our beautiful venue where they swung open to our guests wishing us a fond farewell as Mr. and Mrs. Sander.”

Southern Charm meets Elegance in this Classic Country Club Wedding

Wednesday, November 11th, 2020

Southern charm looks oh-so elegant in this classic country club wedding! Dusty blue hues filled this scene, and with gorgeous lush blooms from Blushington Blooms made up of the loveliest light ivory and pink petals, we don’t think it could have been more charming. Metallic gold details adorned tablescapes covered in white and ivory patterned linens from AM Linen Rentals, complemented by the prettiest dusty blue napkins and clear glass decor. With softly curled locks, a light pink lip, and eyes that pop, Cortney looked so stunning with her hair and makeup artistry by Tease to Please Hair & Makeup. Cortney and Grant’s evening was full of dancing, celebrating, and all the fun – including a special surprise visit from The Dallas Stars mascot (the couple’s favorite hockey team) Victor E. Green! Engaged Events not only worked with Cortney to pull of this once-in-a-lifetime surprise, but executed every other detail of this charming day to a T. Most guests never left the dance floor, all because LeForce Entertainment played the best dancing music all night. To finish the night off on a perfectly sweet note, guests enjoyed a decadent cake from Butterfly Cakery that looks (almost) too pretty to eat. Scroll to see how southern charm met elegance in this classic country club wedding! Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Studdard!

From the bride on her most helpful vendor: “My coordinator Sarah, with Engaged Events, was absolutely heaven sent. From the moment I handed over control to Sarah, she handled absolutely everything with efficiency, professionalism and grace. Sarah executed every detail perfectly while keeping me updated, and once the reception got started, she was able to anticipate every need of mine, the wedding party, and our family. I’m so grateful for Sarah and the entire Engaged Events team.”

There’s So Much Love in this Sweet & Simple Backyard Corona Wedding

Monday, November 9th, 2020

There’s so much love in this sweet and simple backyard corona wedding, we can practically feel it through our screens! Kendall and Reggie are one of the sweetest couple’s you’ll be able to find, and it warms our hearts that they were still about to have the day of their dreams, even though it was drastically different than they originally planned it to be. Cutting their 300 person guest list to 10 allowed them to have an intimate, backyard celebration lakeside, with their closets family present to share this special day with. The bright, punchy citrus colored florals from TR Floral radiate just as much love and cheerfulness as Kendall and Reggie do, while also being the perfect color palette for this warm and sunny day in Arlington! If you’re needing something to brighten up your day, this sweet and simple corona wedding is just the thing for you. Scroll to see all of the adorable photos and to read the couple’s wedding planning story. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Cannon!

Photo // H&N Photography

From the bride: “When the coronavirus outbreak came, we were starting to get worried about our plans falling through. Our venue let us know they would not be allowing full occupancy for a long while, and with Reggie being a professional athlete, this left us a small window of wiggle room. We then started praying about it, and really felt the Lord telling us this was our time. We then sat down and picked out a new wedding date, April 18th! I ordered a white dress from online and Reggie pulled together an outfit from his closet, and we were just so excited to finally come together as one. Our small, intimate wedding was an absolute dream. We got married in a family member’s backyard, has less than 10 people there, and my sister played music on her guitar. My dad is an ordained pastor, and he married us. It was honestly so sweet and stress free. I got to marry the man of my dreams and it didn’t matter if I had to do my own hair, my own makeup, what dress I wore, any of that. I saw this experience as a blessing in disguise because it really humbled me, and the Lord showed me that the most important thing was the covenant between my husband and I, which I wish I would have focused more on from the beginning.”
