Caroline Schrader and Taylor Spalla’s Classic Fort Worth Wedding by Tami Winn Events

SWEET BEGINNINGS: In 2013, Caroline moved to Midland, Texas, for her third year of medical school, and Taylor had also just moved to Midland for his first job after graduating from law school. A mutual friend arranged a group get together since they had all just moved to a new city and did not know anyone. Caroline and Taylor met that night, but it took a month for their paths to cross again… thanks to the same friend at another get together. They went on our first date a week after Taylor worked up the nerve to get Caroline’s phone number, and he was so nervous he lost his credit card at some point during the night. Even with all of the nervousness, it was the best first date either had ever been on!

PERFECT PROPOSAL: Caroline’s family has a house in Port Aransas, Texas, where she visited every summer growing up. In May 2015, before Caroline moved to Austin to start residency, she and Taylor spent the weekend there. She was getting ready for the couple’s dinner reservation, and Taylor told her that he would wait downstairs. When she was ready, Caroline walked down the stairs to see Taylor sitting outside on the swing where they first said “I love you.” She sat by him and he began his speech. Before she knew it, they were both crying, and he was down on one knee. She, of course, said yes!

THE SETTING: The Fort Worth Club is an iconic venue in the city. Its rich history and classic décor fit perfectly with the style of Caroline and Taylor’s wedding. Not only was it was large enough to accommodate their guest list, but it had the best food and an amazing staff who was open to all ideas and requests. The venue even let the planner install a 10-foot floral halo surrounding the chandelier above the dance floor!

VENDOR LOVE: Tami Winn, the wedding planner, was the most amazing vendor the couple worked with. She is hardworking and has a true talent for planning weddings. She brought all of the couple’s ideas to life even more exquisite than they ever could have imagined. Caroline had so much fun planning with her.
