Ciara Wei + Montgomery Self’s Dreamy New Year’s Eve Wedding
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Ciara and Montgomery were sitting with a group of friends when she told her best friend, “He’s cute!” The couple ended up hanging out the entire day. After dinner at Stampede 66, he dropped Ciara off at her car, forgetting to ask for her number. A few days later he messaged her on Facebook and asked for her number!
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Montgomery proposed on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on October 25, 2014. He got down on one knee and asked Ciara to be his forever. He then surprised her with a dinner with all of her friends, including flying in her best friend from Los Angeles!
SETTING THE SCENE: The couple envisioned long floral garlands and candles everywhere as well as calligraphy and a scent of vanilla to fill the room. Their color palette included blush, champagne and gold.
FAB FLORALS: Ciara’s bouquet set the tone by including garden roses to create a loose gathered garden look accented with trust roses and seeded eucalyptus. The stems were wrapped with braided blush duchess satin ribbon along with pearl accents.
SPECIAL TOUCHES: Any vision Ciara had, Montgomery brought to life. He made a 10-foot donut wall, which read, “Treat Yo Self.” He also made white 5-foot marquee lights that said, “I do,” which were the main focal point of the dance floor and reception.
