We’re ready to break out the cocoa and marshmallows after seeing this cozy fall engagement shoot captured by Marissa Manzanares Photography at the couple’s lakeside family property in Little Elm! This cute couple’s story first began when Victoria and Colton met in college. The pair had a history class together and one day, their professor returned some graded tests and was going over the right answers. Victoria and Colton just so happened to sit next to each other that day, and when she noticed she and her friend had gotten the wrong answer, she impulsively turned towards Colton to ask if he had the correct one. The two made eye contact for a few long seconds before he finally spoke, saying he had missed it too. Victoria offered for him to study with her and her friend, and the two became best friends for about 2 years. Finally, they decided to take a leap of faith and started dating. They haven’t looked back since! Now married, they Victoria and Colton tied the knot in a chic country wedding full of simplistic elegance and a palette of navy, cabernet, plus greenery details. Big on DIY projects, bride Victoria decided to do all of her own décor which we just can’t wait to see. However, one of her favorite details from the day was a beautiful charm a friend had gotten her that held her mother’s photo who passed the previous July. Victoria attached the charm to her bouquet allowing her mom to still be there in spirit on her big day. There is so much love between these two throughout their cozy lakeside engagement so we can only imagine what the wedding will look like. Read on for a note from the photographer about this sweet fall engagement’s setting. Cheers to the new Mr. and Mrs. Krum!

From the photographer: “Victoria and Colton decided to use their family’s beautiful property in Little Elm, Texas, for their engagement session. The home rests on a lake surrounded by acreage filled with trees, walkable paths, and beautiful stone features near the water. We had so much fun stopping at each spot and capturing their photos!”
