How to Curate a Private Party Right Here in the DFW Area
by Brynlee Handy November 23
We’ve seen a celebration or two in our day, so we know all the most pertinent parts to curate a private party right here in North Texas. After the question is popped and the planning starts, there will be more than a few pre-wedding activities to coordinate as well. Whether you’re aiming for small-scale or the sky is the limit, we suggest mapping out a budget and committing to it! Once that is settled, there are just a few things you need before nailing down any other details. We compiled a few of the most pertinent festivity details down below so you can pick and choose what feels right for your private party to feature!
Private Party Spaces
You’ll need somewhere to host your happy occasion, so start off by checking out the iconic Space on West Main or Adriatica Studios. These McKinney, Allen, and DFW locales will totally elevate your event, and each has something completely unique to offer. If you’re having trouble deciding which spot might be the right fit for you, check out some of our favorites here. Or, if the meal is the main event, choose one of our favorite rehearsal dinner restaurants like Parkway, Soulman’s, or Colonial Country Club, to name a few.

Delicious Party Food
Feed your guests something they will never forget with culinary experiences like those found via our favorite Dallas/Fort Worth caterers. Opt for an original meal they’ve likely never had or hit close to home with catered comfort food options. The choice is yours to customize as you please, but rest assured knowing it will be delectable regardless!

Choose décor that conveys the mood you want and reflects who you are to your guests! Go as over-the-top or understated as you’d like with vendors like Pink on the Weekend, Satin Pavement or EZ Party Time that create artful balloon installations to bring a modern, whimsical touch to your affair. Keeping things lighthearted ahead of your wedding, these bespoke balloon touches are just what you need!

Your guests will likely want some help if you’re expecting them to socialize, or heaven forbid – dance. For something sweet to sip on throughout the evening, Bubbles and Brews Dallas will come on-site with their vintage Piaggio Ape and its unbeatable on-tap prosecco and craft beer bar. The Tipsy Tap is another mobile option, and Modern Pour or HD Liquid Catering are great for partygoers who like the entertainment of an on-location bartender whipping up signature cocktails. Sip sip hooray!

A no brainer for any party is dessert! Wow your guests with a whimsical macaron tower from Savor Patisserie, display the cutest mini pies from Uncle Willie’s Pies Bakeshop & Catering or Batch Bakery, or hit up Girls Who Twirl Cotton Candy to have cotton candy treats made live during your party. And beyond the sweets, you can’t go wrong hyping your guests up on arrival with a surprise coffee cart! Our three local faves are Nightowl Coffee Cart, Olive Coffee Cart and Tierra Taza Coffee Cart.
