Jessica Socwell and Robert Duncan’s Organic Boho Fall Wedding
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Jessica and Robert’s love story blossomed during their sophomore year of high school. The two fell head over heels for each other and could not get enough! Meeting each other outside of class, spending every lunch period together and rooting for their team at Friday night football games was only the beginning of their happily ever after.
THE SETTING: Jessica and Robert chose Artspace 111 as their venue because it was an indoor and outdoor event space, and Artspace 111 would give their ceremony and reception a backyard feel in a downtown setting.
HUES SHE USED: Jessica selected shades of wine, navy and green to create her perfect look. The color bursts found in different styles of Kilim rugs and protea flowers is what urged Jessica to choose these vibrant and beautiful hues. She added a dash of glam to this bohemian look by adding a gold accent trim.
AISLE STYLE: Wanting to keep her boho chic theme present throughout the night, Jessica and her family built a 10-foot handmade teepee to stand behind the bride and groom while they read their vows. This unique piece was definitely a show stopper.
BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Organic, bold and boho are the words that come to mind when admiring Jessica and her bridesmaids’ stunning bouquets.
SAVORY SWEETS: Embracing the trend of naked wedding cakes, this couple selected a savory vanilla cake filled with cookies and cream icing, accompanied by a drip cake topped with fresh florals. Instead of having a traditional groom’s cake, Jessica and Robert treated their guests to mini mason jars filled with individual servings of scrumptious almond-flavored cake, topped with honey frosting.
VENDOR LOVE: When asked who helped make her big day all she had dreamt of, Jessica had a difficult time narrowing it down to just one vendor. The winner, though, was R. Love Floral, Jessica’s right hand when it came to bringing her vision to life. Jessica raved about how they went above and beyond to help make her dream a reality.
