SWEET BEGINNINGS: Lacey and Eric met at a dive bar in Houston the Friday before the Rodeo Cook Off. She was living there at the time and he was visiting from Boston with friends. They enjoyed the weekend but didn’t consider a relationship because of the long distance between them. However, they kept in touch and met up in Cape Cod for July 4th weekend. The rest is history!

PERFECT PROPOSAL: It was the end of a long and stressful day for Lacey. She was on the verge of tears when Eric told her he wanted to show her something. She thought he was going to show her where she left some socks on the floor, but instead he handed her a jewelry bag… not even the box. When she finally unwrapped everything, he simply asked, “Will you marry me?” He had planned to propose over Christmas but felt in that moment it was the right time, and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

THE SETTING: BRIK has a simple beauty that doesn’t need a bunch of additions to make it personalized. Lacey ended up cutting things back to not take away from the space itself. The outdoor patio space is gorgeous, spacious, and gave Lacey and Eric’s guests another area to enjoy themselves. They loved the clean, open concept of BRIK and the convenience of having both the ceremony and reception in the same location.

GET HER LOOK: Lacey’s handcrafted Berta lace gown from Bridal Boutique featured scattered crystals and petite pearls in a scalloped pattern. The fitted gown with flair had a deep plunging V neckline and an open back with full-length sleeves.

BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS: Lacey’s florist wanted to create depth and moodiness for her bouquet, so they incorporated dark calla lilies and deep red, velvety roses. Since her colors were primarily analogous, this created serenity within the bouquet. The bride wanted some movement, so her team added pops of fun textured foliage that softened the flowers.
