Neeti Prasad and William Warshauer’s Stylish Cultural Wedding Captured by Stephanie Brazzle Photography
SWEET BEGINNINGS: Neeti and William met on their first day of freshman year of high school. She was disappointed she wasn’t assigned a seat next to her best friend. Fifteen minutes after the class had started, a boy showed up late and sat in the seat next to her. She had no idea that this boy who was tardy on the first day of school would end up
being her husband!
FOR THE THEME: Much like the fusion of their two cultures, Neeti and William decided to implement a combination of ballroom elegance with organic, garden party elements. This juxtaposition of ornate chandeliers and hardwood floors with the soft, natural textures of garden-inspired floral arrangements helped them to create an atmosphere of natural elegance.
SPECIAL TRADITIONS: As an Indian American, Neeti wanted her Indian culture reflected in her wedding along with the American traditions she had growing up. Instead of traditional vows, Neeti and William wrote seven promises to each other representing the seven traditional vows Indian brides and grooms make to each other. At the end of the ceremony, the officiant made four wishes for them as they start a new chapter in their lives, and the four wishes symbolized the four times the bride and groom walk around the fire in Indian weddings.
VENDOR LOVE: Neeti thought all of their vendors were absolutely wonderful, but her two favorites were her photographer and wedding coordinator. Stephanie, from Stephanie Brazzle Photography, and Karli, from Ivory & Vine Event Co., kept in great contact and helped make the bride’s vision come to life. Karli went above and beyond to help Neeti with every detail. She answered all of her questions, and most importantly, she reassured her whenever she needed it. Neeti felt incredibly lucky to have these two ladies by her side on her special day!
