Two Red Raiders through and through, Megan and Tyler began their wedding day with something even more personal than school pride. Just the two of them, in the minutes after their first look, trading vows meant for no one else’s ears before the day opened its doors to everyone who loves them. What followed unfolded beneath a wood cross altar draped in ivory, cross-back chairs standing in rows under wicker hydrangea urns, the groom’s own youth pastor presiding over a ceremony that paused for a unity ritual and a prayer.
Both mothers stepped forward to place the rings in their children’s hands, a small act that needed no words. Megan wore Dearly Beloved Bridal Boutique, the gown catching light as it crossed beneath The Selah’s vaulted barn ceiling, where rows of gold and crystal chandeliers hung like something out of an old prairie fable. Blush and peach florals warmed the reception tables, and a gallery wall of the couple’s own history watched over guests beside a hand-lettered sign declaring them, simply, the Gaynors.
Catered Roots carried the celebration through the evening, plates moving between a “Sip & Solve” puzzle table and a hand of “Betting on Love,” while a first dance built on stolen lessons closed out the night for two Red Raiders through and through, Texas Tech written into their love story from the very start.
