PERFECT PROPOSAL: Spencer told Chelsea he was picking her up for dinner at Del Frisco’s with her family. Instead she was picked up by a limo driver who had flowers, champagne and a letter from Spencer waiting for her in the back seat. Chelsea was driven to the Fort Worth Nature Center where Spencer had placed notes and flowers for each year of their relationship along the boardwalk leading to where Spencer was waiting. He had hired a florist to decorate a pavilion with curtains, flowers and furniture. When Chelsea reached Spencer, he proposed!
CLASSIC ELEGANCE: Chelsea wanted a classic wedding that she could look back on in forty years and still think was beautiful, so she chose an elegant, luxurious and traditional theme in hues of gold, blush, champagne and ivory.
SAVORY SWEETS: Both cakes came from Creme de la Crème Cake Company. The bride’s cake was a traditional white wedding cake with white butter cream icing. It had five smooth tiers with a gold trim at the base of each. The cake had a floral topper and a cascade of peonies, garden roses, ranunculus and hydrangeas. The groom’s cake was a chocolate-layered cake with a coconut crème filling, iced in chocolate butter cream. It was designed to look like the ocean, with the TCU Superfrog surfing one of the big waves. Spencer grew up surfing, and both the bride and groom went to TCU.
PRETTY PAPER: The invitations were custom designed by Paper Planet and reflected a traditional and elegant feel. It was a multi-layered invitation composed of blush and gold paper with a custom monogram for the bride and groom. The entire invitation suite used gold foil, and the monogram also appeared on the custom postal stamp.
VENDOR LOVE: Tami Winn Events, the couple’s planner and florist, was so incredible! Chelsea could call Tami and ask for her help with anything. She was able to take the bride’s vision and execute it in a way that was better than she imagined.
