Abbey Schulze and Ben Faith’s Adventure-Inspired DFW Wedding by Tami Winn Events
PERFECT PROPOSAL: Abbey had an idea that she and Ben would get engaged the weekend after her last semester of college because they had planned a trip to Napa Valley. A few days before departure, Ben called before their trip and told Abbey that she shouldn’t expect a proposal. Abbey assured Ben that it was completely fine and that they would have fun on the trip no matter what! During their first day in Napa, Ben encouraged Abbey to wear a dress for their night out. Abbey insisted on casual attire, and they set out on their date at a fabulous winery in town. It was there that Ben proposed and Abbey gleamed at a gorgeous diamond ring. The entire staff knew what was happening and customers even filmed. She and Ben were both shaking and crying out of excitement and joy. Abbey had been waiting for that moment since the day they met!
THE SETTING: The bride and groom decided to celebrate their wedding at The Ashton Depot because of its irresistibly fun atmosphere. Abbey shares that she had never seen a reception ballroom quite like it. She and Ben found the unique space to perfectly fit their personality! The Ashton Depot has marble looking floors with traditional yet modern features. Not to mention, the venue catered quite the delectable menu.
SPECIAL TOUCHES: Abbey and Ben incorporated a lot of unique characteristics to their wedding. The couple loves to travel and made plans to travel the world, so their wedding theme was Love is the Greatest Adventure.
SAVORY SWEETS: The cake was extremely unique. Abbey gathered cake inspiration from viewing other cake designs and created her own vision. On a few of the tiers, she had a pleated white on white design that was a favorite feature. On the middle tier, the cake was adorned with a blue watercolor stain. And to top it off, the entire cake was surrounded with lush florals. Eye candy to say the least!
VENDOR LOVE: Tami Winn of Tami Winn Events was Abbey’s favorite vendor because of her attentiveness to detail. She was an absolute life saver!
