LuLu’s Bridal – Maggie Sottero “Dover” Gown

Who says patterns can’t be a romance language? This geometric lace dress is a love sonnet unto boho bridal gowns itself. A darling form-fitting silhouette slips on like a glove and looks totally custom-made while its fringe armbands give off all the festival vibes. For the free-spirited and fun-loving boho bride, Maggie Sottero’s “Dover” gown can be found locally at LuLu’s Bridal.

From Tease to Please Hair and Makeup: “(For the first look) I wanted to create a peachy pink glow look that was airy and natural. I used my favorite shimmer on her eyes, Bare Minerals Queen Phillis. It captures the light beautifully. For hair, we did soft curls with all the volume thanks to Kenra’s Dry Volume Burst. The inspiration behind this style was to create a fun and country flair to the traditional elegant waves. Of course, we tucked one side behind the ear for that signature red carpet feel.”

I dream – a bridal boutique – Evie Young “Livia” Gown

This wedding dress is truly feminine romance personified. Designer Evie Young’s “Livia” gown lures you in with sexy exposed boning and a sweetheart neckline. The A-line circle cut skirt is full of movement as the bride wearing it moves through her day. This gown’s illusion tulle lace jacket offers versatility with two different bridal looks making it perfect for the bride looking to change up her look from ceremony to reception! Crafted from 3D embroidered sheet lace with a botanical design and lined in a signature charmeuse lining, this bride feels every bit as opulent as she looks. The “Livia” gown can be found locally at I dream – a bridal boutique.

From Tease to Please Hair and Makeup: “I created a smokey winged liner and a pinky lip with Dose of Colors Lazy Daisy (the perfect bridal pink). Everyone loves a big boho braid but smaller braids are so trendy right now! A simple detail to add boho flair to any look. Paired with beachy waves and a middle part for an effortless bridal half-up style.”

Elizabeth Scott Bridal – Private Label In-House Gown

This private label, in-house gown was simply made for the down-to-earth bride seeking a relaxed fit without compromising even a bit of style. Designed with a bohemian lace that created a deep V-neckline, the lines of this dress bring our eyes to her skirt that cascaded down in ruffles making it a perfect pair for statement wedding shoes like her fringe boots! Boho bridal gowns have never been done quite like this before. This custom gown can be found locally at Elizabeth Scott Bridal.

From Tease to Please Hair and Makeup: “(Look three) was a very shimmery eye and lots of shimmer on the cheekbones. Super glam. Party ponies are a go-to look when you want your hair up but down at the same time! Adding volume and texture makes this formal ponytail have flair and creates an overall tousled look. Dress it up with a hair piece for a signature statement.

Grace Loves Lace – “Bella” Gown

If there was ever a gown you would love truly, madly, deeply, it’s the “Bella” – a vision designed with the perfect complementary veil to come along with! Hand draped, luxurious double-layered 30 momme Crepe de Chine silk is cut on the bias and expertly engineered to create a truly unique and elevated silk gown. This gorgeous gown was designed to allow the silk to drape around the body like liquid gold and celebrate your shape. Its gathered bust, double layer split skirt, and statement straight neckline are flattering and comfortable, with the adjustable open back adding to its versatility and function. The openness and drape of the skirt allow for free movement and the ability to show off your beautiful heels. “Bella” is a masterpiece that has been created to let you be the best version of yourself, and can be found locally at Grace Loves Lace.

From Tease to Please Hair and Makeup: “(For this look,) I smoked out her eyeshadow and liner for a sultry look using browns and mauves. For hair, we created my favorite of all the styles! Claw clips are such a go-to trend right now in everyday life and this is the ultimate ‘Claw clip but classier’ look. A simple and chic half-up with a fun detail in the back that screams the 90s. No other accessories are needed as this hair says it all. Aquage Working Spray was my go-to prep spray for heat protectant and hold in this look!”

Patsy’s, A Bridal Boutique – Enaura “Halsie” Gown

The “Halsie” wedding dress from Enaura Bridal’s recent collections has illusion long sleeves with natural vine-like beading throughout with a blush-tiered tulle A-line skirt. This gown gives glamorous while still serving soft boho in a gown that we know you will feel absolutely stunning in. All eyes will be on you in this modern, romantic wedding dress! The “Halsie” gown is the gown of all boho bridal gowns and can be found locally at Patsy’s, A Bridal Boutique.

From Tease to Please Hair and Makeup: “The final look was a moment. Black kajal liner in the waterline is a no-fail way to bring all the glam! I kept the lips more neutral and let the eyes have the stage. For hair, we gave her the ultimate modern bridal bun. We opted for no part for this style and to bring all the hair softly back with tousled volume to create a more chic look. Paired with a voluminous textured bun, the look comes together for a style that looks incredible from any angle.”

Bespoke Botanical: Effortlessly Elegant Styles and Blooming Accessory Pairings

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

Introducing Bespoke Botanical: a wedding fashion editorial full of wildly romantic bridal gowns made for the floral-loving bride, and possibly our most stunning fashion editorial to date! Captured in dreamy, light-filled images by Marissa Merritt Photography and on romantic wedding film by Bluebird Videography, this outdoor wedding fashion editorial takes place on the expansive property of D’Vine Grace Vineyard. Artful blooms from Event Stems Floral came together to create a wedding arch installation that was the stuff of dreams – it even looks as though this color palette was used cohesively throughout the full wedding fashion editorial.

Indoors and out, sunlight and beautiful blooms characterized the darling, dappled scenes while our bride modeled four different statement bridal gowns from our favorite local bridal boutiques (see credits for each below), and her wedding day looks were complemented by refreshing and glowy wedding makeup and elegant, natural hair styled by Rowan Beauty. Providing only the finest wedding and engagement rings, L’unique Diamonds and Fine Jewelry supplied the rock that perfected her look and certainly caught our attention! Every wedding gown she wore seemed to play into the whimsical yet sophisticated and upscale vibe she carried in each impeccably styled and flower-filled weddingscape.

We promise you won’t want to miss the highlights from this wedding fashion editorial down below. Check it out for an inside look behind the scenes at Botanica. Cheers!

Stanley Korshak Bridal SalonGalia Lahav “Richie” Gown

Wearing the “Richie” gown by Galia Lahav, every bride is a best-dressed star basking in the spotlight of her big day. Such was the inspiration behind all the jaw-dropping gowns from the Galia Lahav Fall/Winter 2022 Couture Collection. Regal silk tulle enriched with a draped wraparound structured pointed corset gets softened by the off-the-shoulder neckline finished with chic bows and a contemporary side slit on this beautiful ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and cathedral train. You had us at ivory silk tulle! This gown can be found locally at Stanley Korshak Bridal Salon.

LeAnn’s Bridal – Abella by Allure Bridal “E154” Monia Style

For a gown that wows, we recommend slipping into the chic E154 – Monia style by Allure Bridal. The most delicate beading trails along Monia’s sleek sheath silhouette while an angular scoop neckline does all the flattering you deserve on your special day. Wear it alone or with a detachable tulle ball gown skirt for maximum glam. This beautiful bridal gown can be found locally at LeAnn’s Bridal.

Bridal Boutique – Martina Liana Luxe “LE1179” Style

Style LE1179 from Martina Liana Luxe is the epitome of vintage romance and modern luxury. The ultra-feminine A-line silhouette features a flattering sweetheart neckline, beautiful exposed boning in the bodice and lovely, detachable lace cap sleeves that already have quite the hold on us. Beautiful 3D encrusted floral detailing gives the wedding gown a sense of high-fashion flair, while sequin tulle adds dimension and texture to the couture design. The subtle yet stunning fabric-covered buttons on the back of the dress lead to a long, luxurious train that flourishes with floral beauty all the way down to the hem. This wedding gown can be found locally at Bridal Boutique.

StarDust Celebrations – Robert Bullock “Penny Lane” Gown

Designed by Robert Bullock, the “Penny Lane” gown is as simply romantic as it is sweet with a classic Shantung ballgown silhouette, ruched bodice, pockets, and a gorgeous gathered skirt. Its strapless neckline makes it the perfect gown for brides looking to show off their wedding hairstyle or allow all eyes to focus on their makeup look. The way you make this gown your own is all up to you, and it can be found locally at StarDust Celebrations.

Fairytale Wedding: A Regencycore Wedding Editorial Inspired by ‘The Crown’

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

For anyone who’s ever dreamed of having a fairytale wedding – here it is in full regencycore wedding style that was inspired in part by ‘The Crown” and “Spencer” as well as of course by the late Princess Diana’s unforgettable elegance, grace, and style. Captured by Laning Photography all around the grandiose mansion property of The Olana, this styled regencycore wedding editorial is a total vision of delicate blooms galore flowered by Kate McLeod Studio. An invitation suite of scripted lettering and ornate emblems designed by Gates Paper Company set the tone for a timelessly romantic wedding day down to the Marie Antoinette illustrations and floral-trimmed cake that was beautifully baked by Creme de la Creme Cake Company in four stately layers, emblazoned with a traditional monogram design.

As if we’re looking at the steps of Buckingham Palace, we expected Lady Diana herself to be donning this romantic, flowing ballgown and regal crown – a bridal look fit for a royal wedding plucked right from the racks of StarDust Celebrations. A sapphire engagement ring, reminiscent of Princess Di’s iconic ring, was the perfect finishing touch to this stately affair. This one, provided by Clean Origin, is completely guilt-free since their lab-grown diamonds are 100% ethical! This bride model’s whole look was complemented with hair and makeup styled by the artists of Grand Slam Glam Hair + Makeup in soft glam makeup that radiates her beauty from within paired with an updo fit for a queen. Read on for notes from a few of the creatives that brought this regencycore wedding editorial from our Fall/Winter 2022 issue to life and keep scrolling to see the behind-the-scenes video footage captured by Reverent Wedding Films of the entire elegant day. Cheers!

From Isabel with Gates Paper Company: “At Gates Paper Company, we take time to think outside the box and create something unique for each couple we work with. We love getting to know a couple’s wedding style and translating that into our art. When we were given this mood board, we were so excited about the classic elegant romance with a unique twist – our favorite combination. For the classic romance, we wanted to balance elements of regal architecture with lavish florals. For the unique twist, we wanted to add some houndstooth as a nod to Diana Spencer 80’s fashion. This was such a fun project and was definitely right up our alley!”

From Jamie with Creme de la Creme Cake Company: “I wanted to create something that was very vintage, throwback to the Royal Wedding look but twist it up with a modern monogram and flowers with color.”

From Kate with Kate McLeod Studio: “It was so much fun to play off of the vision and design with the beautiful Olana in the backdrop. Everything we created had an overall romantic feel. I really wanted to create a garden setting, something you might find on the royal grounds. We used a variety of roses and multiple colors and sizes, lisianthus, sweet pea, ranunculus. These blooms helped create movement throughout the design.”

Elevated Bohemian Aesthetic in Punchy Citrus Hues

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

So many wedding styles grab at our attention, but this elevated bohemian editorial designed and styled by Dr Delphinium Designs & Events at Artspace111 has a true hold on us! It emphasizes all the best parts of boho with just a little something extra that goes over the top while maintaining an overall down-to-earth nuptial feel. For a truly elevated bohemian style, infuse your modern decor with an explosion of florals. Dr Delphinium Designs & Events dotted citrus-hued blooms with vibrant flamingo flowers giving a modern tropics vibe to freeform greenery and flowing grass accents. This luxe lounge scene was centered around a blush tufted sofa from Loot Rentals while neon signage by Satin Pavement gave an artful vibe.

From her strapless, puff-sleeved bridal gown to the ethereal deep V-neck wedding dress with billowy bishop sleeves, Bridal Boutique provided both ensembles as well as the model’s dazzling earrings and veil. This bride was styled by artists of JM Glamour in full hair and makeup that took the form of a dreamy half-up hairstyle that later transformed into an updo, paired with warm-toned and romantic soft glam makeup.

Read on as we break down the details of the day and keep scrolling to see it all play out in photos from Vanessa Martins Photo Co. and video by Midnight Embers. Cheers!

A note from the bakers at Creme de la Creme: “I always love layered textured cake and wanted to create an Impressionist feeling for this design. We started with a blue sky background, then added the hand-painted flowers. 2D flowers were then added, pulling away from the painted flowers. The 3D sugar flowers completed the final layer of texture.”

A note from the bakers at Ashton Marie Cakes: “This cake is very time-consuming but worth the wait. I used techniques I have learned and practiced during my cake journey, using fondant and modeling chocolate to create my overall design. This was a picture-perfect example of a labor of love.”

A note from the bakers at Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery: “We love everything about this cake – from the size to the colors to the amazing texture details. We iced the cake in a muted taupe fondant and made a fun and fluid lace pattern covered in sanding sugar running along the front of the cake. We then added wafer paper ruffle details in a dynamic, asymmetrical pattern across the front. We topped the cake with additional wafer paper details. From top to bottom, it is a dream come true.”

A note from the bakers at Carmel Cakery LLC: “The color palette represents the cool sunset over the sea. Bright yellow for the sun, warm orange for the colorful sky and deep purple for the dark starry night. The design is bold and sharp for the extraordinary couple. The crystal pieces are made out of sugar isomalt to represent the sweet life to come for the newlyweds.”

Modern Elegance

Cake Designed by Lili’s Bespoke Sweets

A note from the bakers at Lili’s Bespoke Sweets:“When I think of indulgence, I think of over-the-top, extravagance. When creating this cake I wanted it to be visually pleasing but also show the mess that comes with indulgence or even over-indulgence. It’s modern, intricate, delicate and also has a little bit of that indulgent chaos going on in the different layers and textures of the sugar wafer. The flowers bring out the beauty of the cake, and the gold just puts it over the top.”

Eclectic Edge

A note from the bakers at Katrina Makes Cakes: “I love any chance to use eclectic decorations to bring a fun and unique vibe to dessert, and that’s what this cake was inspired by. Black cakes really allow color to pop and allow your cake to be the center of attention.”

The New Golden Age: Reimagining the Past for a Deco Wedding Aesthetic

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

Break out the black tie because this wedding editorial designed and styled by Knighted Affairs brings along with it an oh-so-chic vibe and a nod to the Golden Age of Hollywood. The Adolphus was the perfect location for this reimagined Hollywood glam shoot captured in photo and film by The Lockharts. A classic palette of white and cream was offset by bold red and stately black accents all around this styled wedding inspiration.

How to modernize an Old Hollywood glam look? Look for vintage inspired accessories with a twist like sheer, pearl-studded gloves or an oversized crystal hairpiece. We’ll never be over the way this one looks styled with the glamorous bridal look created by hair and makeup artists of Brite Beauty – the perfect complement to her sleek strapless trumpet gown from I dream – a bridal boutique.

Creating the eye-catching colorscape, Lauren of Blue Posy Design created beautiful floral pieces to lay on our head table, cake table, and a boutonnière to match the beautiful bridal bouquet and POSH Couture Rentals provided the dinnerware, linens and furniture rentals. Designed by paper pros Hazelwood Paper Co., a full invitation suite, menus, and more were put on display in a most artful flatlay. Butterfly Cakery provided a beautiful asymmetrical white wedding cake that awaited guests in three luscious tiers.

Keep scrolling to see it all play out and hear from a few of the talented wedding vendors that made this editorial come to life. Cheers!

From Kennedy with Knighted Affairs: “When I was designing this shoot, I wanted to incorporate current and upcoming bridal trends to create a realistic and urban feel for a current bride who is planning her wedding. For the color scheme, we focused on a neutral color palette while using bold pops of red to complement the model’s sleek silhouette and old Hollywood glam. Additionally, the invitation suite, menu, and tablescape provided an ode to the art-deco era with the gold and black accents, which provided the shoot with a traditional, yet modern look. To accompany the bride’s mermaid-style dress, she wore pearl accented gloves as a subtle nod to a former fashion statement and traditional bridal accessory. With vintage inspired-looks on the rise in popularity, the pearl gloves were the perfect addition to the shoot. I wanted brides who are planning their wedding to see themselves and their ideas in this shoot – to feel inspired by the reimagined past for their future wedding day.”

From Kristin with Hazelwood Paper Co.: “This invitation suite is for a modern couple, that lean a little glam. The invitation suite was overlaid with a vellum piece, tied with red velvet. The invitation and suite pieces were printed in black, with gold foil. The details insert was a geometric die cut shape, and the envelope was topped off with vintage postage.”

From Brittany with Butterfly Cakery: “I absolutely love everything about a white on white cake design. With the right planning, white textures strategically placed on a perfectly executed blank canvas can create a breathtaking and versatile statement for just about any wedding design. This particular design consisted of off-set tiers adorned with soft, hand-cut edible materials placed in a whimsical cascade. The cake table’s soft linen, lush florals with pops of bold colors and an acrylic stand elevated the intention of this overall design creating the perfect centerpiece.”

From the hairstylist with Brite Beauty: “On the first look, we were inspired with an Old Hollywood Glam vibe. I wanted to recreate a timeless look with a modern twist. I love the voluminous depth this style creates. For the second look, I live for a Party Ponytail! I went with a textured high ponytail with all the hair pulled back. This brought focus to the texture of the back of the hairstyle and made her makeup POP!”

From the makeup artist with Brite Beauty: “This look was entirely inspired by the color palette of our beautiful tablescape. The pops of red and orange demanded a clean and fiery bold lip! But this red lip has a twist utilizing red orange versus classic candy red giving a nod to the 80s Palmer girls. The lip is MAC Cherry Lip Pencil, MAC Feels So Grand Retro Matte Liquid Lipstick topped CB96 Frost lipstick just in the center for a pop. The eyes were wrapped in bronzes and browns with minimal eyeliner leaving the lips to be the star of the show. Lastly, we created long-lasting and glowy skin by draping the cheeks with a mixture of pinks and peaches. Our model’s look was rooted and 80s inspiration but can stand up to the current trends in fashion and makeup.”

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

As weddings continue to grow and evolve, its easy to wonder how you can keep up with trends while creating a wedding design that’s timless and still very much your own. Designing extravagant events was always a dream for North Texas wedding planner Jessica Deltoro Weddings since the very beginning, so you can be sure her team will pour every ounce of love and care into styling your big day – long before it even begins!

A note from Jessica Deltoro of Jessica Deltoro Weddings: “As a little girl, I loved pretending that I was hosting big, beautiful events. I would turn any space I could into a fully decorated gathering, and weddings were by far my favorite! Anything I could get my hand on became decor – foliage from outside for centerpieces to my grandmother’s tablecloths – nothing was off limits. Fast forward to 2016…my husband inspired me to pursue a career in wedding planning and turn my passion and love for weddings into a dream job.”

Services We Offer

I offer full wedding planning, partial wedding planning and wedding coordination. Weddings are at the heart of my business, but I also plan and coordinate other types of events, from birthday parties, bridal showers and engagement parties to large galas.

What Sets Us Apart

What sets me apart from others is that I work with the couple to gather as much detail about their vision as possible in our initial planning meeting. From there, I create very detailed mood boards based on their vision, or sometimes visions if they are torn between different aesthetics, for their wedding. This helps them get a full view of what each wedding design could look like so they feel comfortable and confident in their choices. Another great thing about working with me is that I don’t limit full planning and partial planning clients to a certain number of meetings with me.

Our Aesthetic

I would describe my aesthetic as a blend between classic elegance and bohemian romance. I love working with my clients to create a design with classic styles and elements that make a wedding look timeless while also adding in a dash of bold color or texture. This gives me the ability to work with pretty virtually any style, from classic to boho and everything in between, with ease.

Our Goal

My company is made up of four lovely ladies who all have a great love for weddings and everything they symbolize: family, love and joy. Our goal is to help couples create a wedding day experience that is not only a beautifully curated event but also a reflection of the couple’s personalities and love for one another.

Why Choose North Texas Wedding Planner Jessica Deltoro Weddings

I would be a good fit for a couple looking for a planner with a relaxed yet focused personality. Our meetings feel organic and enjoyable. Our couples do not feel as though planning their wedding is just a series of checkboxes on a checklist but a fun and significant milestone towards the rest of their lives with each other.

365 Love Letters: A Vintage Wedding Editorial Inspired by ‘The Notebook’

Tuesday, August 9th, 2022

Noah wrote Allie a love letter every single day they were apart in “The Notebook,” one of our favorite romantic tearjerkers and the inspiration behind this vintage wedding editorial captured by Nicole Lea Photography in love story inspired portraits. We may not have seen it in the movie, but we imagine this is what Allie and Noah’s coastal South Carolina wedding would look like!

Inspired by the 365 letters he wrote to her, this 1940s style in sky blue hues is oh-so-fitting for a pair of love birds. An oh-so-abundant romance plays out before our very eyes at The Nest at Ruth Farms where the whole weddingscape had an air of magic about it that only love, and cinematic beginnings, can create. Cream, peach, and baby pink blooms from Kristen McCurdy Studio surround the scene with floral romance while our bride modeled the perfect vintage glam look styled by hair and makeup artists of Jennifer Trotter – Lip Service Makeup in full, southern belle curls and a classic red lip just like Allie would wear. Her classically beautiful lace wedding gown from LeAnn’s Bridal was a perfect choice and its ruffled shoulder details stole our hearts. Top it off with white bowed bridal gloves and embroidery-embellished heels for a look that is timelessly chic.

Butterfly Cakery created a three-tiered design adorned with a French blue fondant floral and topped with whimsical fresh blooms, too. Send out stationery that prefaces the pretty celebration to come like this invitation suite designed by Ladybird Paper Co. but the paperie party doesn’t stop there! Menus and signage tie everything together and create a cohesive feel throughout the space where touches of chinoiserie add southern charm into the décor style curated by naturally elegant wedding rentals from COHOST. For a little refreshment, a sip of whatever The Tipsy Tap will keep the late summer heat at bay before you say “I do!” Read on for a note from the glam team behind Lip Service Makeup as well as Ladybird Paper Co. about this vintage wedding editorial and its heartwarming, “The Notebook” inspired design fit for any debutante. Cheers!

From Jennifer with Lip Service Makeup: “Inspired by “The Notebook”, this classic beauty look is innocent, flirty and glamorous at the same time…just like Allie!  Porcelain skin gets a soft pink flush (Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip & Cheek Glow in “Colour of Dreams”), and eyes are enhanced with soft taupe shadows (Viseart  Grande Pro 1X palette in vanilla, eggshell, dove and bis) and winged liner (Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Intense Black), plus a double layer of lashes (Ardell naked lashes in 421 and Kiss So Wispy) for wide-eyed, flirty drama. Lips are lush and full with cherry red liner (Makeup Forever Artist Color Pencil in Either Cherry) and a creamy, deep crimson lipstick (my personal signature shade, Lady Bold lipstick from Too Faced in “Lady Bold”). Hair was curled with a 1 inch curling iron (Bio Ionic 10X Eternity Wand), pinned into pin curls and brushed into smooth Hollywood waves… finished with Osis+ Magic Anti-Frizz Shine Serum and Kenra Finishing Spray.  There’s a reason this look is just as popular now as it was in decades past….it’s stunning!”

From Alexandra with Ladybird Paper Co.: “This suite, menu, and bar sign are for a bride that likes soft, romantic colors, and clean lines. There is custom spot calligraphy and entree selection illustrations.”
